We’re seeking an FP&A Manager to build and own Tenpoint’s financial planning and analysis capability. This is a hands-on role where you’ll develop budgets, forecasts, and models that inform critical decisions at the executive and board level. You’ll also play an essential part in IPO readiness, helping ensure Tenpoint has the financial infrastructure, processes, and insights needed to operate as a public company.
The right candidate will bring biotech/pharma experience, startup agility, and a passion for both numbers and narratives—someone who can distill financial data into insights that drive strategy. With exposure across Finance, R&D, Clinical, and Commercial, this is a rare chance to shape FP&A at a company on the cusp of transformative growth, while building your own career trajectory.
Key Responsibilities
Build & Lead FP&A
- Establish Tenpoint’s FP&A framework, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling.
- Partner with the Controller and CFO to deliver executive-ready analyses that inform strategy and board-level decisions.
- Create tools and dashboards to monitor financial performance and provide actionable insights to business leaders.
IPO Readiness & Public Company Preparation
- Drive FP&A workstreams critical to IPO readiness, including long-range planning, reporting processes, and external benchmarking.
- Develop financial models and scenario analyses that support investor and board communications.
- Ensure compliance with evolving public company reporting standards in partnership with Accounting and Legal.
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Collaborate with Clinical, R&D, and Commercial teams to model program spend, hiring plans, and operational budgets.
- Support resource allocation decisions by providing clear, data-driven insights.
- Contribute to commercial planning and sales analytics, particularly as Tenpoint prepares for product launch.
- Travel as required (<10%).
Experience
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; advanced degree or MBA preferred.
- Proven experience in biotech or pharma FP&A.
- Demonstrated startup experience, with ability to build processes and models in a fast-paced, resource-lean environment.
- Hands-on experience in IPO readiness and public company financial planning.
- Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills, with the ability to distill complexity into clear insights.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills—able to translate numbers into compelling business narratives.
- High degree of initiative, ownership, and comfort operating in ambiguity.
Preferred:
- Prior experience supporting commercial launch planning in biotech/pharma.
- Familiarity with financial systems and reporting tools that scale with growth.
- Exposure to board reporting or investor relations support.
