Role Overview
We are seeking an Associate Director/Senior Manager, Commercial Analytics & Forecasting to generate commercial insights and lead our forecasting efforts. This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and scaling analytics solutions and building/ maintaining our commercial revenue forecast. As one of our first commercial hires, you will be hands-on in establishing processes, developing insights, and enabling decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and execution of analyses using secondary data (claims, Rx, payer, EMR).
- Build patient cohort definitions, treatment journeys, persistency/switching analyses and patient loyalty program analytics.
- Develop and automate dashboards (Power BI) to deliver real-time insights to field and leadership partners.
- Partner with IT/vendors to establish data pipelines, ensure quality, and integrate new data sources.
- Translate analytics into actionable insights for forecasting, launch planning, brand strategy, and field teams.
- Manage vendor relationships, ensuring analytical rigor and timely deliverables.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to data strategy discussions.
Associate Director Level Responsibilities
- Lead Commerical Analytics and Forecasting functions.
- Build and maintain patient-based forecasting models across indications and geographies while translating forecast outputs into clear business scenarios.
- Facilitate forecast output/scenario conversations with leadership, board, and investors.
- Integrate insights from claims/Rx analytics, epidemiology, and market research into forecasts.
- Develop, maintain and track functional budgets to plan.
- Serve as a thought partner to leadership on data strategy and infrastructure.
Experience
- 7+ years of experience in commercial analytics within pharma/biotech or healthcare data consulting.
- Hands-on expertise with IQVIA, Symphony, Komodo, or similar claims/Rx datasets.
- Strong coding ability in SQL and either Python or R; experience with data visualization tools.
- Proven ability to translate complex analyses into clear business recommendations.
- Entrepreneurial mindset; comfortable building from the ground up in a start-up setting.
Associate Director Requirments
- Hands-on experience building and pressure-testing patient-based forecasts.
- Experience working cross-functionally and facilitating strategic initiatives.
