Teleo, a Havoc company, is a robotics company that transforms construction heavy equipment, including loaders, dozers, excavators, and trucks, into autonomous robots for commercial and defense applications. Our technology enables a single operator to supervise and control multiple machines simultaneously, delivering significant productivity gains while improving operator safety and comfort.
Teleo was founded by a team of experienced technology leaders who previously led the development of Lyft's Self-Driving Car program and Google Street View. Teleo recently announced its merger with Havoc AI, a fast-growing defense technology company developing coordinated fleets of autonomous maritime vessels.
This is a unique opportunity to join a team building technology with real-world impact. You will work on cutting-edge 100,000-pound autonomous robots and engineer complex systems at the intersection of hardware, software, robotics, and AI.
Mission
Own Teleo's board-level electrical hardware from schematic to production. Take ownership of existing PCB designs, bring them up to a professional standard, and establish the processes and rigor needed to design, validate, and manufacture reliable boards at the pace of a fast-growing startup.
Core Responsibilities
Own the full lifecycle of PCB design: schematic capture, layout, simulation, prototyping, validation, and production release
Take ownership of existing board designs — clean up schematics, BOMs, and documentation to a maintainable, professional standard
Design power stages, sensor interfaces, high-precision analog I/O, digital I/O, and galvanic isolation circuits
Establish and own validation and test practices: bench testing, ESD, load testing, resonance tuning, and whatever else the design demands
Manage DFM reviews and own the relationship with contract manufacturers and fab houses
Own compliance and EMC testing
Collaborate with the embedded firmware team on board bring-up and hardware-software integration
Provide high-level systems guidance on cable harnesses and electrical architecture to junior engineers
Required Qualifications
B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
5+ years of professional electrical engineering experience with a focus on PCB design through production
Strong analog and digital circuit design fundamentals
Experience designing low-voltage power circuits with high-current stages
Proficient in KiCad (schematic capture, layout, BOM management)
Hands-on validation and debugging: oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, load testing
Experience managing contract manufacturers and fab houses through DFM and production
Demonstrated ability to own board designs end to end with minimal oversight
Comfortable working on-site in Palo Alto, CA
Strong Experience With
Mixed-signal design: high-precision analog, sensor interfaces, galvanic isolation
DFM practices: panelization, tolerancing, component selection for manufacturability
Compliance and EMC testing processes
Rapid iteration: comfortable spinning boards quickly without sacrificing quality
Maintaining clean, well-documented schematics and BOMs across multiple active designs
Nice to Have
Experience in automotive, heavy equipment, or ruggedized industrial environments
Familiarity with embedded firmware concepts — enough to be a strong partner during bring-up
Experience establishing electrical engineering standards and validation processes on a small team
Early-stage startup experience — comfortable with broad ownership and fast iteration
