As a Wireless Network Deployment Engineer at Teleo, you will lead the design, deployment, and validation of wireless networks at customer sites, spanning multiple technologies including Wi-Fi, private LTE/4G/5G, and public LTE/4G/5G. You’ll work closely with Teleo’s sales, hardware, and software teams to deliver robust communication solutions that maximize reliability and uptime. We’re looking for a passionate, multidisciplinary professional who thrives on creating reliable, scalable, and reusable systems. This role requires the ability to travel at least 50% of the time to customer construction sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and plan wireless networks for customer deployments
  • Perform on-site assessments and surveys
  • Lead deployment, configuration, and validation of wireless networks
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with Teleo systems

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with 5+ years of professional experience deploying wireless communication solutions in outdoor environments OR
  • 10+ years of experience as a field technician in planning and deploying wireless communication solutions in harsh environments
  • Experience with RF propagation software (including topography, foliage, antenna selection, RSRP level selection)
  • Experience deploying Wifi and CBRS networks

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of wireless technologies, including CBRS, Public 4G/5G, and Private 4G/5GProficiency with Linux environments
  • Experience developing automation or diagnostic scripts in Python
  • Familiarity with FCC regulations and spectrum allocation procedures
  • Experience in flying drones for a professional application. Ideally, possess a FAA Part 107 drone pilot license (or equivalent)
  • Extensive experience working in hazardous industrial environments with strict safety standards (e.g., MSHA, HAZWOPER, or similar)
  • Experience with robotics and autonomous vehicles

Additional Skills

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to work independently in the field
  • Extensive customer-facing experience, ideally within customer success or deployment teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to generate clear and detailed technical reports with a strong understanding of SLA
  • Ability to adapt and perform in fast-paced, dynamic environments
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
