The Role

We are looking for an ambitious and strategic (Senior) Director of Performance Marketing (a) to lead our paid marketing efforts across key markets, with a strong focus on Germany. Reporting directly to the VP of Marketing, you’ll shape and drive Oviva’s performance marketing strategy across channels like Meta, Google, Native, and beyond. Your goal is to continuously scale existing channels at positive unit economics as well as expand our channel mix.

Your mission: unlock sustainable growth by owning forecasting, innovation, and campaign excellence ensuring we drive measurable patient acquisition at scale. You will manage and grow a talented team, build full-funnel synergies with Brand Marketing, Creative, and Product, and act as a deputy to the VP Growth Marketing, with future opportunities to lead a team beyond Paid.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Oviva’s performance marketing strategy across paid channels, optimizing for lead volume and cost-efficiency.

  • Forecast lead volumes, CPL, and allocate budget effectively using market and internal insights.

  • Scale and diversify channel mix—including Meta, Google, Native, TV, and emerging growth platforms.

  • Partner with Analytics, Product, Brand Marketing, Creative to improve land-to-lead conversion and create performance-driven campaigns.

  • Drive channel innovation, A/B testing, creative excellence, and audience segmentation strategies.

  • Build and coach a high-performing team (currently 2 FTEs + freelancer; 2 more in hiring) and create a culture of ownership, curiosity, strong data foundation, and evidence based thinking

  • Contribute to growth OKRs and act as a key stakeholder in broader strategic marketing decisions.

  • Collaborate strongly with Brand Marketing on joint execution of digital upper-funnel campaigns as well as spillover of brand invests to performance marketing metrics.


About You

  • A strategic thinker with a proven track record in performance marketing, including demonstrated experience in a leadership role.

  • Proven experience driving measurable growth through Meta, Google, and other paid channels.

  • Strong in forecasting, budgeting, testing, and analytics—comfortable with tools like GA4, Salesforce, and Sheets.

  • Experienced in performance-led lead generation, including full-funnel tracking, optimisation, and decisions based on market & internal insights.

  • A solid understanding of lead generation mechanics and conversion journeys, with the ability to collaborate closely with Product to improve land-to-lead performance.

  • Natural leader and team-builder who thrives in cross-functional environments.

  • Fluent in German and English.

  • Ambitious and motivated with a desire to grow into VP or Chief Marketing Officer-level responsibilities.

  • Experience managing 8-figure paid media budgets.

  • Background in high-growth tech, health, or regulated industries.

  • Understanding of CRO, media mix, and attribution modelling.
