What You’ll Do:

Immigration Support

  • Coordinate extensively with external immigration counsel on visa applications, renewals, and complex compliance matters.
  • Assist with the administration of various visa types (e.g., H1-B, L-1, F-1, TN) and EAD processes, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Own the monthly green card audit process and support green card applications, including document gathering and close collaboration between the respective teams and our immigration counsel.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for immigration-related inquiries, providing clear and accurate information to employees.
  • Review Falconx’s immigration spend on a quarterly basis and provide insights on strategy.
  • Review Falconx’s current population and proactively identify a strategy for each case across visa types.

People Operations

  • Manage leaves of absence, from initiation to ensuring a seamless and high-touch return experience that prioritizes employee well-being and support.
  • Maintain monthly data feeds, benefits invoicing, and be the first point of contact for ad-hoc HR report requests.
  • Support various administrative tasks within the People Operations function to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall goals and objectives of the People Operations team.

HR Compliance

  • Drive initiatives to ensure strict compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations.
  • Actively participate in the development, review, and implementation of company policies, employee handbooks, and code of conduct to ensure legal adherence and best practices.
  • Assist in gathering and preparing documentation to support audit requests related to payroll, 401(k), workers' compensation, security, and overall HR processes.
  • Research and stay updated on changes in employment law and HR best practices, advising the team on necessary adjustments.

What You’ll Bring:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Strong HR background, specifically in immigration and or leaves of absence administration.
  • Strong interest in People Operations, particularly in immigration and compliance.
  • Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion and integrity.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly.
  • Proficiency in project management, Google Sheets or Excel.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior internship or administrative experience in an HR or People Operations department, with exposure to compliance or immigration.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in HR Administration, immigration support, or similar roles.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems, Rippling preferred.

Compensation

The base pay for this role is expected to be between $100,000 and $115,000 in New York City. This expected base pay range is based on information at the time this post was generated. This role will also be eligible for other forms of compensation such as a performance linked bonus, equity, and a competitive benefits package. Actual compensation for a successful candidate will be determined based on a number of factors such as location, skillset, experience, qualifications and the level at which the candidate is hired.
