Key Responsibilities

What You Will Work On

Interns will be assigned to one or more real-world solutions that support internal business groups across the company, including IT, Security, Finance, HR, Revenue, Sales, Marketing, and Product. Work will span frontend, backend, reporting, and documentation. Areas may include:

  • Internal tooling and automation that improves how teamsacross the business operate
  • Data pipeline and analytics tooling on our enterprise datawarehouses (Microsoft Fabric, Databricks)
  • Fraud and risk systems, including rule tuning and detectionmodel support
  • Analysis and enhancements to our security and compliance capabilities
  • Integration and API work across our acquiring, issuing, andclearing systems
  • Reporting, dashboarding, and documentation that turns rawdata into something the business can act on
  • Proof-of-concept work exploring how AI and LLM-based toolscan support engineering and fast-track business operations

Specific assignments are determined based on intern skill set, interest, and business priority at the time of onboarding.

How You Will Work

You will work alongside experienced engineers and industry experts who will provide guidance, reviews, and context as you ramp up. Our teams use modern AI coding assistants as part of their everyday workflow, and interns will have access to the same tools to help them learn the codebase, draft code, and document their work.

Qualifications

Applicants for this role will have:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a closely related field
  • Exposure to or familiarity with at least one modern programming language (Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, or similar)
  • Foundational understanding of core computer science concepts such as data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming
  • Willingness to read through an existing codebase, ask good questions, and learn as you go
  • Strong written communication
  • Working knowledge of Git or other version control workflows
  • Genuine curiosity about how systems work end-to-end and how engineering supports the broader business

Nice to Have:

  • Prior internship, co-op, or substantive project work in software engineering
  • Exposure to AI or LLM-based tooling through school projects, hackathons, research, or previous internships
  • Experience with SQL, relational databases, or enterprise data warehouses
  • Exposure to web development frameworks (React, Angular, .NET, or similar) or backend service development
  • Familiarity with reporting or business intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
  • Interest in or coursework related to fintech, payments, fraud, or financial systems
