Position Description
Bluebird Kids Health is seeking a compassionate and skilled Clinical Services Manager (RN) to join the leadership team of our CARES Center. The CARES Center serves as our enterprise access and remote care hub, delivering essential Access to Resources, Education, and Support to children and their families. In this pivotal role, you will manage and supervise an interdisciplinary team of Virtual Care Nurses, Care Coordinators and Care Managers. Reporting to the Head of Central Clinical Operations, the Clinical Services Manager will serve as the clinical dyad partner with the Operations Manager to ensure the delivery of high-quality care, efficient care coordination, and seamless integration across all services. You will play a critical role in shaping our clinical workflows, improving patient outcomes, and supporting our mission to provide exceptional pediatric care to every child.
What You’ll Do
Clinical Services Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and provide professional development for an interdisciplinary team of nurses, care coordinators, and care managers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
- Ensure the quality and performance of the team aligns with regulatory compliance, organizational standards, and enterprise goals, driving continuous improvement and achieving key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Oversee the recruitment, onboarding, training, and ongoing professional development of all team members, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to deliver exceptional care and support in their roles.
Care Management:
- Lead and develop the care management program, ensuring effective strategies for managing complex patient needs across a variety of clinical conditions.
- Oversee care planning activities, including developing individualized care plans, coordinating with interdisciplinary teams, and tracking patient progress.
- Drive population health management initiatives, including risk stratification, to identify high-risk patients and tailor care strategies aimed at improving health outcomes.
Care Coordination:
- Oversee the coordination of care for pediatric patients, ensuring that families and children receive timely and appropriate care across various settings (e.g., specialists, outpatient services).
- Facilitate communication between healthcare providers, patients, and families to ensure continuity of care and that follow-up care is executed as planned.
- Manage patient referrals, ensuring patients are connected with necessary services and support in a seamless, efficient manner.
Virtual Care Nursing:
- Lead and optimize the virtual care nursing program, ensuring the seamless delivery of services such as triage, transitional care management, and clinical support to patients in collaboration with clinic-based care teams.
- Oversee the transitional care management services, facilitating smooth transitions for patients discharged from the hospital or those with complex care needs, ensuring they receive appropriate follow-up and monitoring remotely.
- Collaborate closely with clinic-based care teams to ensure continuity of care for patients, aligning virtual care efforts with in-person care plans to improve patient outcomes
Data-Driven Decision Making:
- Utilize clinical data and outcomes to assess the effectiveness of current programs and interventions, identifying areas for improvement.
- Drive initiatives that leverage data to improve care delivery, reduce costs, and enhance patient satisfaction through evidence-based strategies and targeted improvements.
- Collaborate with quality and analytics teams to develop reports and dashboards that track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to clinical outcomes, patient experience, and operational performance.
Compliance and Regulatory Oversight:
- Ensure all clinical operations adhere to local, state, and federal healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and other applicable standards.
- Regularly assess and audit clinical practices to identify potential compliance risks, implementing corrective actions as needed to ensure regulatory adherence.
- Maintain a culture of safety and compliance within the team, providing guidance and training to staff on updated regulatory requirements and internal policies.

What You’ll Need
Education and Experience:
- Unencumbered Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Experience with pediatric populations is strongly preferred.
Certifications:
- BLS Certification required.
- Additional certifications in care coordination or care management are a plus.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and support a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and other healthcare technology platforms.
- Ability to problem-solve, manage conflict, and make data-driven decisions.
