What Will You Get to Do?

The Lead – Business Finance will act as a key finance partner to internal teams, particularly Sales and GCSS, while supporting the CFO’s office on deal pricing, commercial structuring, and strategic financial analysis. The role requires strong financial modeling, commercial judgment, and the ability to convert data into clear insights and presentations for leadership.

What Will You Get to Do?

The Lead – Business Finance will act as a key finance partner to Sales, RevOps, Customer Success, and other business teams, while supporting the CFO’s office on commercial decisions, strategic initiatives, and financial planning. The role requires strong SaaS finance expertise, commercial judgment, financial modelling skills, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with Sales, RevOps, Customer Success, Product, Accounting, and other cross-functional teams to evaluate business performance, deal economics, pricing, and commercial structures.

  • Support the CFO’s office on strategic financial analysis, business initiatives, scenario planning, and decision support.

  • Own budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and driver-based variance analysis across key business areas.

  • Build models and scenarios to evaluate pricing, discounts, expansion opportunities, customer profitability, and commercial structures.

  • Track and analyze key SaaS metrics including ARR/MRR, ARR bridge, bookings, ACV/TCV, RPO, GRR/NRR, churn, retention, CAC, LTV, CAC payback, Rule of 40, burn multiple, and margins.

  • Own and analyze key financial bridges across ARR, revenue, invoicing, collections, cash, EBITDA, and FCF, including working capital and cash conversion.

  • Build and maintain KPI dashboards and provide clear, data-driven insights into business performance and key drivers.

  • Reconcile system data with reported financials, identify gaps and anomalies, and help establish a reliable single source of truth.

  • Prepare data-driven presentations, financial narratives, and insights for leadership, board, and investor discussions.

  • Proactively challenge assumptions, identify business risks and opportunities, and bring financial insights into strategic and operational decisions.

What You Should Have

  • CA qualification with 5–7+ years of experience in Business Finance, FP&A, Corporate Finance, or SaaS Finance.

  • Preferred experience from a Big 4, scaled SaaS/technology company, Corporate Finance, or VC/PE environment.

  • Strong understanding of SaaS business models, metrics, unit economics, and commercial finance.

  • Strong financial modelling and advanced Excel skills, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, scenario analysis, and driver-based modelling.

  • Strong understanding of revenue recognition, deferred revenue, working capital, cash conversion, and the ARR-to-cash flow cycle.

  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to evaluate pricing, discounts, deal structures, expansion opportunities, and customer profitability.

  • Strong analytical rigour and attention to detail, with the confidence to challenge assumptions and numbers.

  • Strong business partnering and communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and translate financial data into actionable business insights.

  • Experience with NetSuite, Salesforce, and BI tools is preferred.

  • A hands-on approach with the ability to own financial analysis and business performance metrics end-to-end.
