ABOUT THE TEAM – BIZAPPS AGENTIFICATION
The Bizapps Agentification team sits at the intersection of AI, business operations, and product engineering. We are building the next generation of intelligent process automation — replacing manual, repetitive business workflows with AI agents that think, decide, and act. This is not incremental automation; it's a ground-up rethinking of how internal functions (Sales, HR, Finance, RevOps) operate using agentic AI.
As an intern on this team, you will be part of a small, high-impact group working directly with senior leadership on live agentification initiatives inside Whatfix.
ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for highly curious and technically strong interns for the Field Development Engineer (FDE) role within the Bizapps Agentification program. In this role, you will design, build, and iterate on AI agents that automate key Whatfix business processes — from lead enrichment and candidate screening to AR collections and pre-sales workflow automation.
You will work with real data, real stakeholders, and real production constraints. This is a hands-on engineering internship, not a support or shadow role
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Design and build AI agents to automate end-to-end business processes across Sales, HR, Finance, and RevOps functions.
- Integrate large language models (LLMs) with internal tools, APIs, CRMs (Salesforce), and data sources to create autonomous workflow agents.
- Prototype and iterate on agentic architectures including multi-step reasoning chains, tool-calling agents, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to map current manual processes, identify automation opportunities, and define agent success metrics.
- Build lightweight dashboards or reporting layers to monitor agent performance and output quality.
- Document agent designs, prompt strategies, and integration specs clearly for internal stakeholders and leadership reviews.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Must-Haves:
- Currently pursuing a B.Tech. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (2027 graduation).
- Strong fundamentals in Python — you can build, debug, and ship working code independently.
- Genuine curiosity about AI, LLMs, and agentic systems — you've explored tools like LangChain, LlamaIndex, CrewAI, AutoGen, or similar frameworks (even if outside of coursework).
- Ability to think in systems: you can break down a messy process into structured inputs, logic, and outputs.
- Strong written communication — you can document what you build clearly.
Good to Have:
- Hands-on experience building with OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Gemini, or similar LLM APIs.
- Familiarity with REST APIs, webhooks, and API-based integrations.
- Exposure to Salesforce, HubSpot, or any CRM/ERP system.
- Experience with prompt engineering, chain-of-thought reasoning, or tool-calling patterns.
- Prior internship or project experience involving automation, workflow tools, or business process modeling.
WHAT YOU'LL LEARN
- How to architect and ship production-grade AI agents for real business use cases.
- How enterprise AI automation initiatives are scoped, prioritized, and measured.
- How to work at the boundary of engineering and business — translating operational problems into technical solutions.
- Whatfix's product suite (DAP, Seek, ScreenSense, Mirror) and how AI layers on top of existing enterprise software.
- Participate in weekly cross-functional reviews with leadership (including CRO and CFO-level stakeholders) on initiative progress.
