The Technical Solution Architect is the key technical contact during Sales cycles and is instrumental in responding to our customer’s complex healthcare needs using the Health Catalyst Ignite platform. Working in tandem with our Growth team, you will engage with prospects in understanding their needs and educate them on Health Catalyst platform capabilities, industry trends and best practices. Based on your discovery meetings gather a deep understanding of the client/prospect’s organizations technical platform needs, you will support in-depth discussions and showcase the Ignite platform through demonstration and discussion to successfully convert prospects into customers. You will engage with customers to form a relationship becoming their trusted advisor and nurture additional opportunities for Health Catalyst. In addition to working closely with the Growth Team, the Solutions Architect will meet regularly with Ignite Platform teams to deeply understand the Catalyst technology.

What you'll own:

  • Be focused on bringing Health Catalyst technical expertise to healthcare systems which include clinics, hospital systems, ACOs and Payer organizations.
  • Provide deep technical platform leadership in the sales process, identify, and technically qualify new opportunities working with our Growth team.
  • Be a partner with the Sales counterparts and engage with them regularly on Sales activities both prospective and current client.
  • You will be a technical expert on Health Catalyst Ignite platform and implementation strategies and tools.
  • Provide guidance regarding Health Catalyst solutions and capabilities supported by the Ignite platform.
  • Have a deep understanding of medallion architecture, consumption modeling, EMPI, role-based security and ETL processes.
  • Participate in the development of the business and technical strategy including RFI/RFP responses, sizing, and architecture.
  • Listen, understand, and analyze the prospect’s business requirements and compose, validate, and present the Health Catalyst Ignite platform.
  • Prepare and present customer-centric presentations and product demonstrations educating the prospect of the Health Catalyst way while fielding prospect’s questions and concerns.
  • Perform hands on design and customization work to prove Health Catalyst capabilities to customers during the prospect's due diligence evaluation process.
  • Align with Solutioning Team on all new Ignite opportunities to appropriate size and price opportunities.
  • Communicate competitive solution/product differentiators to customer and the sales team.
  • During the sales cycle and after the sale is complete, collaborate with our client delivery organization for an effective and successful implementation kickoff.
  • Communicate and collaborate with other team members on a regular basis to provide product, prospect, and user feedback to the product management organization in effort to improve and expand the Health Catalyst portfolio of products.
  • Stay current on Health Catalyst Ignite platform, implementation and delivery by working closely with technical BUs, attend appropriate internal team meetings within key BUs.
  • Understand Health Catalyst vision, market need, solutions value proposition, and functionality and interoperability.

Who you are/what you bring:

  • A Strong understanding of the healthcare industry and current trends in healthcare transformation.
  • Experience with Spark, Databricks, Snowflake, Hadoop, Kafka, AWS, Azure, cloud data architecture.
  • Understanding of data processing patterns and storage strategies.
  • Experience with one or more modern advanced analytics tools for machine learning / AI applications (for example Spark, Databricks, Python, R, etc.).
  • Knowledge and experience working with ELT processes.
  • Knowledge and experience working with both clinical and claims data.
  • Strong communication skills, particularly those relevant to translating highly technical information for non-technical audiences.
  • Conducting highly technical conversations with prospects and clients.
  • Ability to work closely with Ignite Platform business unit and other leaders in the organization.
  • Ability to host and command conversations with similar peers and technology C-level audiences (CIO, CMIO, CAO).
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related area (data science, mathematics, statistics, economics, etc.).
  • 5+ years’ experience in healthcare data, analytics, and technology understanding the needs in healthcare technology.
  • The ability to map technical solutions to customer business requirements.
  • 3+ years a Pre-Sales, Sales Engineer or Solution Architect, or other client facing role preferred.
  • Outstanding communications: verbal, written and interpersonal skills with excellent attention to details.
