TraceLink is seeking a full-time, experienced “SDET I” to join our team. As a Software Engineer in Test, you will be responsible for improving scalability, performance, resilience and security of the venture, through a combination of re-engineering and innovation.

Responsibilities

The Software Engineer in Test I develops and maintains experiences that interface with large-scale data, along with all related activities for the role. On the Transforms QA team, you will test maps that transform data to and from our internal canonical data format, enabling cross-format communication for our customers.

You will:

  • Collaboratively define test strategies for functional, integration and performance testing of a distributed cloud-based product.

  • Define, develop and execute test plans, data sets and test configurations.

  • Create and maintain tools for testing and development.

  • Track and report metrics of product quality.

  • Work effectively with Product Management, managers and team members in other teams within the company including Operations, Services and Development.

  • Work with Support as needed to resolve customer issues.

  • Verify defect fixes and adherence to mapping standards guidelines.

  • Clearly document your work.



Qualifications

Candidates must possess the following skills and traits:

  • Willing to learn new technologies & work with cross-functional teams.

  • Strong problem solving aptitude.

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.

  • Exposure to one or more programming languages - Java and Bash scripting are a plus.

  • Strong desire to drive change, and ability to adapt to change quickly.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to critique work of self and others constructively.

  • Understanding and experience with Windows and Mac operating systems.

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills, and ability to communicate detailed technical analysis.

  • Excellent interpersonal, writing and problem solving skills.

  • Flexible, adaptable and able to manage multiple concurrent tasks.

  • Bachelor degree, Master degree preferably in CS or related experience.

  • Strong understanding of Software Development and Test Life Cycle, Quality Assurance, Agile Development Processes, CICD, GIT, Object Oriented Programming and Data Structures concepts.

  • Preference for experience with ERP systems, mapping tools and standards for GS1 EPCIS, SAP iDoc, EDI X12, EDIFACT, XML, JSON, CSV.
