Overview

TraceLink is seeking a senior business technology leader with demonstrated experience developing strategies involving the selection, implementation, and ongoing management of EDI, B2B, or other platform integration technologies within the Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences industry. This role will work within TraceLink’s business strategy group. It will be focused on enabling internal and external stakeholders to engage more effectively with customers and prospects for TraceLink’s Multienterprise Information Network Tower (MINT) solution suite.

Over the last decade, TraceLink has built the world's largest cloud-based digital network of integrated supply chain stakeholders in the Healthcare and Life Sciences sectors. Using its next-generation low-/no-code network development platform, Opus, TraceLink enables more than 1,300 customers and 290,000 trade partners across the supply chain to connect and exchange interoperable supply chain information to protect patients and enhance business results through end-to-end supply chain digitalization.

Reporting Structure

The Principal Business Technology Consultant will report directly to the General Manager, Supply Network Orchestration.

Responsibilities

  • Advise and collaborate on strategic product and market requirements for MINT and related TraceLink solutions based on industry expertise, customer input, and market analysis.

  • Act as a customer-facing expert, participating in calls, conferences, and creating marketing materials such as webinars.

  • Offer insights on the competitive landscape in Healthcare and Life Sciences B2B/EDI, translating these insights into high-quality educational and training materials.

  • Analyze industry trends and customer processes across various business functions (e.g., Manufacturing, Supplier Relations, Quality, Supply Chain, Logistics) to contribute to customer-facing messaging and materials.

  • Provide guidance and feedback to TraceLink’s Sales and Solution Consulting teams to enhance customer engagement outcomes in process mapping, solution blueprinting, and value workshopping.

  • Collaborate with Customer Success and Professional Services to develop processes and materials that showcase customers' realized value during implementation and proposed future projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; MBA is a plus.

  • Extensive experience in the Pharmaceutical/Life Sciences industry, bridging business and technology domains.

  • Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience leading projects related to EDI, VANs, B2B, systems integrations with external supply chain partners, -OR- equivalent team leader experience managing processes and communications with external supply chain partners on a commercial team instead of a technical team.

  • Familiarity with various EDI, VAN, iPaaS solutions, and pricing models is preferred.

  • Knowledge of use cases across a range of Life Science company segments is a plus.

  • Ability to identify and articulate market trends affecting TraceLink’s product positioning and strategic direction.

  • Strong teamwork, communication, and cross-group collaboration skills are essential.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Proficiency in communicating and interacting with senior executives.

  • Additional language skills are advantageous.

  • Anticipate approximately 10-25% travel for strategic customer engagements orchestrated by TraceLink sales team members.
