About Us:

Structure Therapeutics develops life‐changing medicines for patients using advanced structure‐based and computational drug discovery technology. The company’s platform combines the latest advancements in visualization of molecular interactions, computational chemistry, and data integration to design orally available, superior small molecule medicines that overcome current limitations of biologic and peptide drugs. We are advancing a clinical‐stage pipeline of differentiated treatments focused on chronic diseases with high unmet need, including cardiovascular, metabolic, and pulmonary conditions.

Structure Therapeutics is led by an experienced group of international drug innovators and financed by top-tier global life sciences investors. The company completed an initial public offering (IPO) in February 2023. With offices in California and Shanghai, Structure Therapeutics has the benefit of being at the center of life science innovation in both the US and China and capitalizing on the strengths of each geographic location.

Position Summary:

This is an exciting and exceptional opportunity to participate in cutting-edge science using unique GPCR structural data whilst making significant contributions to the industry-leading Drug Discovery R&D. The CADD and Data Science team uses state-of-the-art computational techniques and workflows to support and drive discovery projects from early exploratory stage to clinical candidate stage working closely with chemistry, structural biology/molecular interactions, and pharmacology/biology teams.

Within this interdisciplinary environment, we are looking for an individual with a proven track record of integrating biology and chemistry data from a variety of lab-based environments into a centralised data management platform. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate closely with Drug Discovery Scientists from in vitro and in vivo Biology, Chemistry, DMPK and Informatics departments to streamline data processes that support our internal candidate-drug programmes in our drug discovery pipeline. Please apply if you feel passionate about joining our team where scientific excellence and passion combine in a friendly fun environment to impact drug discovery projects and create/customize new cutting-edge approaches.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day support for the next-generation data management platform, working with users across Discovery and Pre-Clinical functions (e.g. Chemistry, Biology, DMPK, Platform). This includes user administration, rollout of updates, SOP development, troubleshooting, and assay protocol setup.
  • Support the integration of scientific data management systems into end-to-end drug discovery workflows.
  • Deliver end-user training, onboarding, and ongoing guidance to drive effective and consistent platform adoption.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary project teams to assess data needs, improve data sharing, and ensure data integrity, consistency, and traceability.
  • Integrate and harmonize diverse data sources from internal and external origins, including data analysis tools (e.g. Excel, Prism, Spotfire) and Electronic Lab Notebooks (ELNs).
  • Establish, maintain, and update SOPs related to the operation and support of the data management platform.
  • Ensure externally generated data is captured in a secure and FAIR-compliant manner, supported by integrated and automated data flows (e.g. ELT pipelines).
  • Define and implement data registration standards and protocols for new data types, aligned with platform capabilities and discovery requirements.

Qualifications:

Required

  • Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Life Sciences, Chemistry, or Data Science.
  • Industry experience in drug discovery informatics, preferably 2+ years in research data managementrelated roles, with a strong understanding of scientific data types and data workflows across the drug discovery lifecycle.
  • Proficiency with at least one commonly used biotech/pharma data management platform, such as CDD Vault, Dotmatics, or Revvity Signals.
  • Experience with data manipulation and processing tools, such as Pipeline Pilot or KNIME.
  • Hands-on experience with data visualization tools, including Spotfire, Vortex, or DataWarrior.
  • Working knowledge of scripting and query languages (e.g. SQL, Python, or R), and understanding of challenges related to bulk data transfer, cross-platform integration, data warehousing, and data migration.
  • Experience in developing, integrating, and improving custom data workflows, including rollout, user support, and continuous improvement.
  • Highly organized, rigorous, and detail-oriented, with a structured mindset and ability to learn quickly.
  • A strong team player with an inclusive, proactive, and positive “can-do” attitude, willing to listen, learn, and share knowledge.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with multidisciplinary project teams, supporting efficient data analysis, high data quality, and impactful data visualization.
  • Fluent in both English and Chinese for daily professional communication.

Preferred

  • Experience configuring, integrating, and customizing scientific data management systems, including building custom Python applications or tools to streamline laboratory workflows and data handling.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand drug discovery data needs and propose innovative solutions to improve data flow, accessibility, and assay data integration with internal and external partners.
  • Familiarity with Linux environments and/or cloud-based architectures (e.g. AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
