Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Procurement Manager to lead our purchasing and vendor management activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in biotech or life sciences procurement and will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies that support scientific operations, ensure cost efficiency, and maintain regulatory compliance.

As a key member of a growing finance and operations team, you will manage purchasing, supplier relationships, and procurement systems for the US entities. You will collaborate closely with Clinical, Legal, IT and Accounting to support timely and compliant acquisition of goods and services. This position reports to the Sr. Director, Accounting & Corporate Controller.

  • Preference is for local candidates-- who can work 3 days/week (Tuesday and Thursday with one flex day) in the SSF HQ office.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement Operations

  • Oversee Procurement Operations: Procurement process owner responsible for managing purchase order compliance, system workflows, data, integrations, and reporting delivering efficient procurement processes
  • Purchase Order Management: Execute all aspects of PO creation, review, processing, ensuring proper account coding, precisely and promptly to support business needs
  • Develop and manage purchase requisition, approval, and PO issuance workflows in alignment with internal controls and SOX compliance.

Systems, Policy & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to internal policies, purchasing controls, and applicable regulatory guidelines (e.g., FDA, SOX, cGMP, etc.)
  • Coordinate with Legal and Finance to ensure vendor agreements and MSAs are executed and stored properly
  • Administer procurement systems (e.g., Zip, and NetSuite) and support automation and scalability of purchasing processes

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Clinical, IT, Legal and Accounting teams to understand sourcing needs and provide purchasing support
  • Collaborate with the Finance team to support monthly accruals, PO-to-invoice matching, and spend reporting
  • Work with Accounting to facilitate timely invoice approvals and resolve discrepancies
  • Support internal and SOX audits and respond to documentation requests for procurement-related matters

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Life Sciences, or a related field
  • 5 years of procurement experience, preferably in a biotech, pharmaceutical, or life sciences environment
  • Strong understanding of procurement best practices, vendor management, and financial controls
  • Experience with procurement or ERP systems preferably, Zip and NetSuite
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
  • Comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a small but collaborative team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with procurement process implementation or systems transitions.
  • Familiarity with capital equipment purchasing, lab operations, or facilities support.
  • Knowledge of GxP, SOX compliance, or public company environments.

The target salary range for this full-time role is $125,000 - $148,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Structure Therapeutics determines salary ranges based on level and scope of responsibilities, as well as location. Individual pay is further determined by additional factors, including relevant experience, specific job skills, education and training.
