The company has completed an initial public offering (IPO) in February of 2023. With offices in California and Shanghai, Structure Therapeutics has the benefit of being at the center of life science innovation in both the US and China and capitalizing on the strengths of each geographic location.

Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced in vitro biologist to join our biology team. This position plays a critical role in the execution and development of cellular and biochemical assays to support drug discovery programs. The successful candidate will independently design, perform, troubleshoot, and optimize in vitro assays—particularly those related to GPCRs and metabolic diseases—to generate high-quality, reproducible data in support of project goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute in vitro biology experiments with high quality and scientific rigor in a timely manner.
  • Develop, optimize, and validate novel cell-based or ex vivo assays aligned with project needs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with assay performance and data quality.
  • Apply scientific insights to improve assay design and drive innovation in assay platforms.
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies or methods relevant to GPCRs and metabolic diseases.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough laboratory records in accordance with best practices.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional project teams and contribute to project strategy.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • M.S. in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Pharmacology, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in in vitro assay development and execution; CRO experience is a plus.
  • Proven expertise in GPCR-related assays and/or assays relevant to metabolic disease biology.

Technical Skills & Competencies

  • Extensive experience with cell culture (including primary cells), HTRF, luciferase-based assays, qPCR, Western blotting, FACS, imaging-based assays, and other standard molecular biology/biochemical techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex assay issues and optimize experimental protocols.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to data integrity.
  • Proficiency with scientific software and tools (e.g., GraphPad Prism, MS Office Suite).
  • Self-driven, proactive, and able to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Communication
