Position Summary

The pre-formulation scientist/senior scientist will conduct the experiments and oversee the pre-formulation
studies assigned for all the Structure Therapeutics programs in Research and Development. Working with the project teams and CROs, pre-formulation scientist/senior scientist will evaluate the physical chemical properties, solid state properties, solubility and stability of the small molecules. He / She will also develop formulation to support the pre-clinical PK, PD and tox studies.

Essential Duties and responsibilities

• Conduct the experiments and perform pre-formulation developability assessment of small molecule compounds including physical chemical properties, solid state properties, solubility and stability
  
• Develop formulation to support pre-clinical PK, PD and tox studies
  
• Manage the CROs for outsourced pre-formulation studies
  
• Collect, summarize and present the data to different matrix team
  
• Prepare the study report to ensure data integrity
  
• Author the pre-formulation section of the DC dossier
  
• Pre-formulation lab management
  
• Support to build the high performing CMC team
  
• Other duties as assigned

Qualification

• MS/PhD in Pharmaceutical science or related field
• 3 years of pre-formulation and pharmaceutical development experience in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry
• Hands-on experience in physical chemical properties evaluation, solid-state characterization, solubility and stability evaluation and pre-clinical formulation preparation
• Knowledge and hands-on experience with pre-formulation lab instruments such as HPLC, DSC/TGA
  
• Experience in complex molecule formulation development is plus
  
• Verbal and written communication skills in both Chinese and English
• PC literacy required; MSOffice skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
