POSITION SUMMARY
Structure Therapeutics’ Lab Operations (Sr.) Manager /Associate Director is the role to oversee the operations management of company laboratory for discovery, preclinical and technology platform in-house activities. He/She will be responsible for the day-to-day management of laboratory operations, including EHS, facility & lab maintenance, equipment management, and supply chain. The position requires an individual with a strong background in EHS and lab operations, who can ensure that all the operational activities are aligned with organizational objectives and regulatory compliance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the daily operations of the laboratory, ensuring adherence to legal, ethical, and
    regulatory standards
  • Responsible in lab EHS management and optimization, including but not limited to :
    o Implement EHS Legislation and requirements to ensure lab activity compliance
    o Identify applicable EHS legislation and advise management on compliance
    o Collaborate with EHS consultant and ensure EHS related process in place for the
    purpose of continuous improvement
    o Facilitate implementation of EHS requirements including policies, guidance, standards,
    trainings
  • Recognize, analyze, and report operational issues to key stakeholders and collaborate with
    cross-functional teams to develop and implement solutions
  • Develop and maintain procedures for the maintenance and calibrations procedure of laboratory equipment
  • Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely
    delivery of goods and services
  • Monitor budgetary guidelines and ensure that the labs operate within their allocated budgets
  • Mentor and supervise laboratory personnel, providing guidance, support and opportunities for staff development
  • Ensure orientation and training of new laboratory personnel

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of experience in laboratory operations or related field
  • Proven track record in managing laboratory operations, projects and teams
  • Certification in laboratory safety is preferred
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving and statistical skills
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer skills including laboratory software and proficient in Microsoft Office software
