Position Summary
Senior scientist will support pharmacology head, present pharmacology expertise in relevant therapeutic areas, play a key role in study design and animal models establishment based on projects’ needs, lead scientists to timely implement the experiments and collaborate closely with cross-functional team members.
Essential Duties and responsibilities
- Support in vivo pharmacology capacity through internal build up and CRO access.
- Support internal in vivo team management and the establishment of internal in vivo pharmacology competency and capacity (animal models, ex vivo/in vitro assays, etc.)
- Design, execute, and oversee pharmacology research to support drug candidate discovery. Ensure that experiments are performed with a consistently high standard quality.
- Support and enable team members and mentor junior scientists, provide technical training on in vivo operation competencies.
- Collaborate and communicate across a diverse research team to successfully progress scientific goals.
REQUIREMENTS

- Strong expertise on pharmacology and experiment operation.
- Competences in leading and coordinating complex in vivo study and collaborating with projects.
- Ability to provide training on pharmacology experiment skills.
- Deep understanding of animal welfare and management.
- Proven ability to understand the mechanism of study design and acquire new knowledge and skills in a fast manner.
- Self-motivated and ability to work independently and teamwork is necessary.
- Good laboratory practices and strong organization, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with scientific software, database, and analysis methodology
- PC literacy required; MSOffice skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Education and Experience
- D in biological sciences or related disciplines.
- Preferred research experience in metabolic disease, fibrosis, etc.
- Industrial experience is also preferred.
- Ability to lead team and work effectively in cross-functional team.
