Position Summary

This position will be responsible for execution of pharmacology study, data recording and data analysis, provide skilled technical support for in vivo animal studies, including animal administration, blood sampling, tissues collection, and surgical operation, establish animal models based on protocol or literatures, and collaborate closely with team members.

Essential Duties and responsibilities

  • Timely execute pharmacology experiments. Ensure experiments performed with high standard operation and quality.
  • Provide skilled technical support for in vivo animal studies, expertise in animal administration (po./s.c/i.p/i.v), blood sampling (cardiac puncture, submandibular vein, tail snip) and tissues collection.
  • Perform blood and tissue samples analysis following kits instruction.
  • Responsible for daily animal breeding and strictly follow SOP of animal room management.
  • Establish animal models based on protocol or literatures.
  • Responsible for data recording including animal observation, data analysis.
  • Collaborate closely with team members to successfully perform multiple projects.

    REQUIREMENTS

    Core Competencies, Knowledge and Skill Requirements

    • Strong expertise on pharmacology experiment skills, such as administration, blood and tissue collection, surgical operation, etc.
    • Deep understanding of animal welfare and management.
    • Proven ability to understand the mechanism of study design and acquire new knowledge and skills in a fast manner
    • Self-motivated and ability to work independently and teamwork is necessary.
    • Good laboratory practices and strong organization, communication, and teamwork skills.
    • Competences in maintaining lab notebooks and computer files are also require
    • Proven ability to acquire new knowledge and skills in a fast manner
    • PC literacy required; MSOffice skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Prism

    Communication & Interpersonal Skills

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues

    Education and Experience

    • S. or M.S in pharmacology sciences or related disciplines.
    • 3+ years of experience in animal operation. CRO experience is preferred.
