POSITION SUMMARY:

Singular Genomics is seeking a Staff Pathology Scientist to support the G4X Spatial Multiomic Services. This role is integral to our mission of delivering high-quality histopathology and multiomic data services, and you will be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in spatial biology and multiomics. Your expertise will help guide project execution, assess data quality, and interface directly with customers to deliver pathology reports and insights across various G4X spatial sequencing experiments.

As the Staff Pathology Scientist, you will play a critical role in advancing Singular Genomics' G4X Spatial Multiomic Services. You will be involved throughout the entire project lifecycle, from feasibility assessment to data review and customer engagement, making this a high-impact position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project Feasibility and Execution: Collaborate with the Customer Applications Lab and Associate Director, Spatial Multiomic Services, to assess project feasibility and develop experimental plans for multiomic services. Your expertise will ensure successful outcomes in spatial transcriptomics, proteomics, and related areas.

Histopathology SME: Serve as the company's Subject Matter Expert in histopathology and spatial biology, providing insights into the tumor microenvironment and immuno-oncology research.

Customer Engagement: Participate in technical calls with customers, clearly articulating the feasibility of services projects and guiding them through complex multiomic and histological analyses. Provide outstanding customer service by communicating complex results in an understandable and actionable format.

Data Review and Reporting: Review multiomic data (including fluorescent H&E, transcriptomics, proteomics, and DirectSeq data) to ensure data quality, sensitivity, and specificity. Draft pathology reports and present findings to customers, collaborating closely with the Spatial Multiomic Services.

Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with R&D and Customer Applications teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues with data quality and analysis, continuously improving the service delivery process.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • D. in, Molecular Pathology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, or a related field with 8+ years of industry or postdoctoral experience.
  • Extensive experience in immuno-oncology and tumor microenvironment research.
  • Experience in spatial biology platforms and techniques
  • Proven ability to clearly communicate complex multiomic data and pathology results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-centric mindset, with the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in drafting and delivering pathology reports based on advanced multiomic data, is preferred.

The estimated base salary range for this role based in the United States of America is: $150,000 - $211,000. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Should the level of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable salary range may be updated accordingly. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
