Summary:
We are seeking a Technical Associate Product Manager to join our Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) product team, with a focus on data ingestion pipelines and third-party connectors. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong technical foundation and a passion for translating customer requirements into scalable product features. You will collaborate closely with engineering, solution architects, and customers to enhance our ingestion capabilities and expand our library of connectors for diverse security data sources.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Ownership – Ingestion & Connectors:
o Drive the roadmap for log ingestion, parsing, and enrichment features within the SIEM platform. o Define requirements for connectors supporting diverse data sources (firewalls, cloud platforms, EDR, identity providers, SaaS apps, etc.). o Ensure connectors are scalable, reliable, and compliant with security and regulatory requirements.
Customer & Market Engagement:
o Gather customer feedback to prioritize connector development and ingestion enhancements. o Work with sales engineering and support teams to understand pain points in onboarding new data sources. o Monitor competitor SIEM offerings and market trends around ingestion frameworks (e.g., API-based collection, streaming pipelines, agent-based ingestion).
Collaboration with Engineering & QA:
o Write clear product requirement documents (PRDs) and user stories for ingestion and connector features. o Partner with engineering to refine backlog items, define acceptance criteria, and test releases. o Ensure timely delivery and quality of connector integrations.
Documentation & Enablement:
o Collaborate with technical writers to create connector documentation and onboarding guides. o Enable customer-facing teams with knowledge about new ingestion capabilities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Technical Knowledge:
o Familiarity with SIEM concepts (log parsing, enrichment, normalization, correlation). o Understanding of APIs, syslog, cloud-native data sources (AWS, Azure, GCP), and streaming technologies (Kafka, Kinesis, etc.). o Hands-on knowledge of JSON, XML, and common log formats.
Product Management Skills:
o 1–3 years of experience in product management, technical program management, or related role. o Ability to create and prioritize backlogs, write PRDs, and manage cross-functional execution.
Soft Skills:
o Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. o Excellent communication skills for working across technical and business teams. o Detail-oriented, with ability to balance short-term priorities and long-term strategy.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with commercial or open-source SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, Securonix, Elastic, QRadar, Sentinel). • Knowledge of security standards (MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, PCI DSS, etc.). • Familiarity with connector ecosystems, SDKs, and integration frameworks. • Exposure to scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for quick prototyping or log parsing.
