About the Role:

Data is the backbone of modern business decision-making, and we are seeking a visionary Senior Product Manager to lead the development of our data management and search solutions. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the future of how Securonix and customers leverage data—transforming raw information into actionable insights through scalable, reliable, and efficient solutions.

Your expertise will guide the design and implementation of critical data infrastructure components, including data lakes, advanced search technologies, data schema management, retention policies, and data normalization. You will ensure our data systems empower customers to unlock value, drive innovation, and make data-driven decisions with confidence.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Strategy and Vision

  • Develop and own the product roadmap for data lake, search capabilities, and related data infrastructure components, aligning with overall company objectives.
  • Translate customer and business needs into clear, actionable product requirements for search technologies and data solutions.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitors in the search and data management space.

Customer-Centric Approach

  • Engage directly with customers to understand their pain points, use cases, and workflows related to search, data ingestion, normalization, and retention.
  • Partner with stakeholders to gather feedback, identify opportunities, and deliver customer-first solutions.
  • Champion the voice of the customer within cross-functional teams, ensuring user-centric product design and functionality.

Collaboration and Leadership

  • Work closely with engineering, data science, and design teams to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions that meet technical and business requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across sales, marketing, and support teams to ensure seamless product adoption and success.
  • Manage complex dependencies and effectively communicate priorities, progress, and challenges to leadership and stakeholders.

Technical Expertise

  • Oversee the development and enhancement of core data and search capabilities, including schema design, search algorithms, data retention policies, and normalization.
  • Drive adoption of best practices in data search and management, ensuring compliance with security and regulatory requirements.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for search and indexing technologies, including OpenSearch, Elasticsearch, Apache Solr, Lucene, Algolia, AWS CloudSearch, and similar platforms.
  • Ensure seamless integration of search capabilities into larger data lake and analytics solutions.

Metrics and Success Measurement

  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of search and data lake products.
  • Analyze product performance and customer feedback to inform iterative improvements and future investments.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field; MBA or equivalent experience is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on search technologies, data lakes, or analytics platforms.
  • Proven expertise in building and managing search technologies like OpenSearch, Elasticsearch, Apache Solr, Lucene, Algolia, or AWS CloudSearch.
  • Strong technical acumen and familiarity with big data platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and cloud-based solutions (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Proven track record of delivering customer-facing solutions involving complex search workflows and data infrastructures.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working in agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Preferred:

  • Hands-on experience with modern datalakes like Snowflake, Databricks, or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance considerations.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, or other data processing languages.
  • Experience with relevance tuning, vector search, and leveraging machine learning for search optimization.
  • Familiarity with APIs and integration patterns for search technologies.
  • Experience in customer-facing roles or managing customer relationships.
