The Role

In the role of Healthcare Content Analyst, you will make and update claims editing rules based on correct coding guidelines from official sources such as Medicare, Medicaid and CPT/AMA. The rules or logics that you contribute to will prevent claims overpayments. You will participate in the life cycle of claims editing rules including design and maintenance. As part of this role, you will collaborate with leading minds in payment accuracy and healthcare technology.

Core Responsibilities

  • Analyze healthcare policies to develop claims editing rules that our engineering team will program
  • Convert reference source documents into technical specifications, collaborating with developers to implement these into functional software.
  • Create unit tests to verify the accuracy and functionality of the software edits
  • Apply correct coding guidelines to accurately create prepayment claims edits
  • Update edits as updates to reference source documents are published.

What We Are Looking For

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration or equivalent professional experience
  • Knowledge in medical coding terminology, coding guidelines, and healthcare policy
  • Proficient with technical tools including Google Workspace, Jira, and Slack
  • Strong collaborative skills, capable of effective interdepartmental communication
  • Ability to work independently, driven by self-motivation in remote or hybrid settings (hybrid in Atlanta).

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience in healthcare policy and claims editing
  • Recognized coding or billing credentials (e.g., CPC-A).
