Job Title: Senior ManagerDepartment: FinanceLocation: Sector 18, Plot No. 17,18,19, 20, Electronic City, Gurgaon, Haryana, 122015 Job SummaryThe Senior Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the finance team in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and assisting in the day-to-day financial operations of the organization. This position involves overseeing the work of junior accounting staff and collaborating with other departments to facilitate smooth financial processes. Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping:
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records, including ledgers, journals, and reconciliations.
  • Monitor and record financial transactions accurately and promptly.
  • Month-End and Year-End Close:
  • Support the Finance Manager in the month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Ensure all necessary adjustments and accruals are made in a timely manner.
  • Regular Reporting (MIS):
  • Prepare and analyze statements, including income statements, vendor aging, Vendor Balances, cash flow statements etc.
  • Verify and report variances.
  • Supervision and Training:
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff.
  • Assist in the training of new team members and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
  • Compliance and Auditing:
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations and internal controls.
  • Assist with external and internal audits as needed.
  • Vendor and Customer Relations:
  • Maintain relationships with vendors and customers regarding financial matters.
  • Address payment and invoicing inquiries promptly.
  • Process Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
  • Implement process improvements with approval from superiors.
  • Ad-Hoc Financial Analysis:
  • Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and provide recommendations to support Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and Masters degree or relevant certification, such as CA, CMA, is a plus.
  • Proven experience in accounting or finance, preferably with some supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, regulations, and financial reporting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
