About us

Owkin is an AI company on a mission to solve the complexity of biology. It is building the first Biology Super Intelligence (BASI) by combining powerful biological large language models, multimodal patient data, and agentic software. At the heart of this system is Owkin K, an AI copilot and its new LLM fine-tuned on biology called Owkin Zero, used by researchers, clinicians, and drug developers to better understand biology, validate scientific hypotheses, and deliver better diagnostics and therapies faster.

About the role:

As a Corporate Development & Strategy Analyst, you will work within Owkin’s Corporate Development & Strategy team on a broad range of key strategic initiatives underpinning Owkin’s core business: multimodal data access and generation, agentic AI software and platforms, therapeutic in-licensing, and clinical development. You will interact with a wide range of other functions at Owkin in order to deliver on Owkin’s strategic growth objectives. The Corporate Development & Strategy team is involved in:

  • Defining the overall corporate & operational strategy
  • Building Owkin’s portfolio of therapeutic assets and defining our clinical and pipeline strategy
  • Executing mergers and acquisitions, strategic partnerships, asset in-licensing, and fundraising
  • Providing market research, financial analysis, competitive intelligence, valuation exercises, and coordinating comprehensive due diligence processes

In particular, you will:

Competitive Intelligence & Landscaping

  • Research, report on, and maintain knowledge bases of relevant companies to identify potential strategic partners and competitors.
  • Landscape cutting-edge technologies and scientific developments to help shape Owkin’s strategy.

Research & Analysis

  • Conduct financial, literature, and market analyses to support and develop strategic recommendations and build compelling business cases.
  • Integrate insights from diverse sources (market reports, databases, scientific publications, internal experiments) into clear, structured reports and presentations.
  • Contribute to the preparation of high-quality materials for Owkin’s internal decision meetings, external presentations, and board meetings.

Project Management & Reporting

  • Prepare summaries, key takeaways, and detailed notes from internal and external meetings, and provide updates across business units to keep activities aligned and advancing
  • Maintain and enhance project management tools, folders and trackers to monitor progress across various projects.

About you

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has completed a Master’s degree program in in Chemistry / Biology / Pharmacy / (Bio)chemical Engineering / Biotechnology / Data Engineering / Bioinformatics / Software Development in life sciences or similar field
  • Ideally has previous experience in the biotech or life sciences sector
  • Has demonstrated strong interest in business, finance or management
  • Can work full time in our Paris or London office
  • Is a structured thinker, can formulate how to get work done and ask questions
  • Communicates effectively in written and oral English
  • Learns quickly and is passionate about Biotech and AI
  • Prioritizes their tasks and is able to juggle multiple workstreams
  • Is numerate and tech-savvy
