About the role:

\n

The Associate, Pharma Business Development supports the BD team growing the business with pharmaceutical companies.

\n

The Associate, Pharma Business Development will report directly to the SVP, Pharma Business Development. The position will require intimate cross team collaboration with our Platform, R&D, Legal, Operations and Strategy teams.

\n

In particular, you will:

\n
    \n
  • Assisting with preparation of needed materials for client engagement, and participate in client meetings and discussions as requested;
  • \n
  • Capturing meeting actions items and notes and sharing with the team flagging immediate, mid- and long-term client needs against the existing and growing capabilities of the company.
  • \n
  • Assisting with taking the actions to meet identified clients needs, as requested by the BD team;
  • \n
  • Assisting with structuring the collaboration proposals by owning internal delivery of specific components (e.g., business structure, timelines, costs)
  • \n
  • Working and coordinating with all relevant team members on creating sales process related material (Summary of Opportunity, Proposals, Budgets, Statements of Works etc.) engaging with and incorporating their inputs as needed.
  • \n
  • Using company's business operations tools for sales activities related purposes and support the monitoring for ongoing projects from a Customer Relationship Management perspective. .
  • \n
  • Finding innovative ways to resolve problems and be comfortable with ambiguity.
  • \n
  • Be self-driven, team player and eager to learn
  • \n
  • Be capable of delivering structured, rigorous and business oriented analysis on Pharmaceutical companies’ assets
  • \n
  • Be keen on working in an agile, trustful and collaborative mindset

Position is based in our Paris or London offices or remotely.

About you

Required qualifications / experience:

\n
    \n
  • We are looking for someone sharing Owkin’s passion for patient care and collaboration with:
  • \n
  • A University Degree with scientific and technical/IT background, preferably a Masters/PhD degree in the Sciences or IT/Technology (Molecular Biology, Epidemiology, HEOR, Genetics, Oncology, Statistics, AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, etc)
  • \n
  • You have strong written and oral communication skills in English.
  • \n
  • Experience in selling or client facing activities to the Pharmaceutical / Biotech industry, with some experience/interest in AI applications in drug discovery, clinical development and/or commercialisation/market access
  • \n
  • Experience with requirements and applications of AI in precision medicine- A good understanding of their utility in drug discovery, clinical research, patients stratifications/subgrouping, and target identification.
  • \n
  • Project management skills and problem Solving - Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • \n
  • Adaptability/Flexibility to change and prioritisation in the workplace.
  • \n
  • You are autonomous, hands-on, proactive, enthusiastic with a good sense of humour, integrity and professionalism.
  • \n
  • You have excellent communication and writing skills in general and in English, and you are computer literate (Google suite, Slack, Salesforce).
