About the role:

\n

The (Senior) Project Manager is a key architect in the success of our early discovery operations, reporting to the Director of Single Cell and Spatial Technologies within our Biomedical Operations Team.

\n

You will play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating the various aspects of data generation and target discovery projects within our organization. Your expertise in project management, coupled with a strong background in biological or molecular sciences, will be instrumental in driving successful drug development programs from early research to preclinical stages.

\n

In particular, you will:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive project plans, outlining key milestones, timelines, and resource requirements.
    • \n
  • Ensure project deliverables are met on time and within budget while adhering to quality standards.
    • \n
  • Help to plan and coordinate the generation of large datasets with cutting-edge high-throughput multi-omics methods.
    • \n
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions or delays by proactively addressing any challenges that may arise during the course of projects.
    • \n
  • Ensure sample traceability within our clinical studies and timely data delivery from our laboratory teams.
    • \n
  • Plan for and follow through on data generation lab operations.
    • \n
  • Conduct quality control assessments on generated data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to SOPs.
    • \n
  • Promote clear and effective communication among internal and collaborating teams, fostering a collaborative and motivational work environment.
    • \n
  • Generate and present regular progress reports to stakeholders, including senior management and other relevant teams.
    • \n
  • Communicate project updates, achievements, and challenges in a clear and concise manner.
    • \n
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance project management efficiency and effectiveness.

The position is based in Paris, Nantes, London or remote from France or UK

About you

  • PhD, Masters or BSc degree, ideally in life sciences (cellular or molecular biology, genetics, biotechnology).
    • \n
  • Experience in project management or delivery of high-impact scientific research within the medical/pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
    • \n
  • Good knowledge of cancer biology.
    • \n
  • Experience either with data generation or analysis from high-throughput methods (such as RNA-seq, whole exome sequencing, single-cell RNA sequencing, spatial transcriptomics).
    • \n
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • \n
  • Highly organized and meticulous about details; capable of tackling complex problems logically and effectively.
    • \n
  • Excited to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
    • \n
  • Passionate about novel molecular technologies and techniques.
    • \n
  • Fluent in English, Fluent in French is a plus.
    • \n
  • As our collaborators are based across Europe and in the USA, occasional travel may be required.
