The Vice President/Senior Vice President, Clinical Pharmacology will be a key member of Neumora’s R&D leadership team, responsible for building and leading the company’s Clinical Pharmacology function. This leader will shape and execute strategies that integrate clinical pharmacology, pharmacometrics, and translational science to support Neumora’s diverse portfolio across discovery, early development, and late-stage clinical programs.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned drug development leader with deep expertise in clinical pharmacology, a strong track record of advancing CNS therapeutics, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to achieve ambitious clinical and regulatory milestones.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership for clinical pharmacology and pharmacometrics activities across all stages of drug development.
  • Design and oversee clinical pharmacology studies (e.g., SAD/MAD, DDI, food effect, bioavailability/bioequivalence, special populations).
  • Partner with clinical, regulatory, biometrics, and translational sciences teams to optimize dose selection, trial design, and development strategies.
  • Drive application of model-informed drug development (MIDD) approaches, including population PK/PD and exposure–response analyses.
  • Serve as subject matter expert in regulatory interactions with FDA and other global health authorities.
  • Build and grow the organization’s pharmacology capabilities leveraging external partners, consultants, and CROs to deliver on organizational priorities.
  • Contribute to portfolio strategy and clinical development plans with a focus on advancing programs efficiently and de-risking decision-making.
  • Champion innovation in the use of digital biomarkers, real-world data, and advanced analytics where appropriate.

Qualifications:

  • PhD, PharmD, or MD with specialization in Clinical Pharmacology, Pharmacokinetics, or related discipline.
  • 15+ years of drug development experience, including leadership of clinical pharmacology in biopharma; CNS experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success supporting IND, NDA/BLA, and global regulatory submissions.
  • Proven ability to design and execute clinical pharmacology strategies that drive impactful decisions in development.
  • Strong leadership, influencing, and cross-functional collaboration skills in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to thrive in a growth-stage biotech.

The salary range posted describes the minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Actual salary may vary based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Base Salary Range:$340,167-$380,216
