Reporting to the Chief Technical Operations Officer, the VP, Pharmaceutical Supply Chain will lead the development and execution of short- and long-term supply forecasting, planning and execution. This is a key leadership position responsible for developing and executing strategies to build processes that optimize cost and performance. We are looking for a candidate who provides strong strategic thinking, problem solving, clear and concise communications, sound judgement, and tactical execution, all while exhibiting the highest standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads all aspects of pharmaceutical supply chain for clinical and commercial programs
  • Develops forecasts and maintains long-term inventory plans and models for raw materials and supplies
  • Designs and establishes key business processes to ensure proactive supply planning across Neumora’s operations and strategic initiatives
  • Provides visibility to potential risks in planned capacity and makes recommendations with strategic direction
  • Provides and maintains detailed scheduling supply plans for clinical and future commercial products to assure no gaps or delays in processing, release, or shipment so treatment occurs as scheduled
  • Develops and implements logistics and planning tools through MS Project, spreadsheet and/or relational databases for Supply Chain, Procurement, and Operations
  • Creates and maintains planning and logistics metrics to enable process improvements
  • Minimizes variability and aligns logistics, demand planning and sourcing to ensure minimum financial impact and uninterrupted manufacturing
  • Supports changes in BOM, demand and supply, performs planning assessment as needed; supports raw material inventory and supply control as required
  • Oversees activities required to support the manufacture, packaging, labeling, shipping, and distribution of clinical and future commercial materials

Qualifications:

  • BA or BS required. Professional Procurement / Sourcing certification preferred; MBA a plus.
  • 18+ years biotech-pharmaceutical industry experience with a strong understanding of the drug development and manufacturing process and 10+ years of strategic sourcing experience with strong knowledge of related sourcing processes, tools/systems, policies, business intelligence and reporting platforms, and best practices.
  • Proven track record successfully leading cross-functional teams aimed at improving sourcing processes including tool selection and implementation.
  • Ability to effectively articulate recommendations and lead the implementation plan within the project budget and timelines.
  • Strong project management skills. Understands the importance of defining and managing the critical path; brings solutions when needed to address potential delays.
  • Able to craft a clear vision and sourcing technology roadmap strategy; ability to think broadly over the long-term with a good understanding of strategy interdependencies, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Exceptional cross-functional collaborator, both internally across company functions and externally with strategic suppliers. Listens well, open to objective discussion, who then moves forward with absolute commitment once recommendations and decisions are reached.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, develop and grow team members. Comfortable providing development feedback to team members and holding them accountable for their deliverables.
  • Previous working knowledge of business intelligence and reporting tools; experience creating and automating custom reports and dashboards.
  • Experienced in process improvement and continuous improvement methodologies. Practical working knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma principles resulting in measurable and tangible benefits to the organization.

The salary range posted describes the minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Actual salary may vary based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Base Salary Range: $287,000- $296,000
