Neo4j is looking for a Senior Manager of Digital Marketing. This role is responsible for using paid media and digital channels to raise awareness, generate high-quality leads, and accelerate prospects through the funnel. You will blend strategic thinking with hands-on execution, partnering closely with internal stakeholders and owning the day-to-day relationship with our paid media agency.
A successful candidate brings strong analytical and systems-thinking capabilities, deep understanding of performance marketing platforms, and the ability to transform data into compelling executive narratives. You will ensure clean, consistent, and trustworthy data—through rigorous tracking frameworks, UTM and taxonomy management—and collaborate across teams to bring targeted, insight-driven campaigns to life.
This role is both strategic and operational, requiring cross-functional leadership, creative development oversight, agile problem-solving, and a passion for understanding our target audiences.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the digital marketing strategy for awareness and lead generation across priority segments and regions.
- Input into the integrated marketing strategy and collaborate cross-functionally to enhance the customer journey and improve paid media performance.
- Build a strong understanding of our target audience and how they behave across digital platforms, channels and activities to enable closely aligned campaigns.
- Work with internal teams and external agencies on ad copy, creative, channel selection and targeting to build out impactful campaigns that deliver a great customer experience and align with the overall integrated marketing strategy.
- Own the digital marketing budget globally, monitoring and reporting on performance, and allocating spend to maximize ROI.
- Work with Marketing Operations to analyze results throughout the customer journey.
- Monitor performance, report to the business, test and optimize all elements of the campaigns to improve KPIs.
- Own the implementation and maintenance of UTMs, naming conventions, and platform taxonomies to ensure clean, structured, and analyzable datasets.
- Manage multiple programs at once, demonstrating strong prioritization and project management skills to coordinate across the business and external agencies.
- Input into the integrated marketing strategy and collaborate with internal teams to implement improvements across the business that drive the performance of paid media campaigns.
- Build strong relationships and influence across functions and levels in the business.
- Stay on top of industry developments, identify new opportunities and recommend new approaches when appropriate.
Requirements:
- 7+ years experience managing digital marketing to drive awareness and lead generation within a B2B tech environment.
- Proven track record of delivering impactful digital marketing campaigns that deliver results.
- Expert knowledge of the set up, reporting and management of paid media platforms including Google Ads, LinkedIn, Facebook, Reddit, etc.
- Hands-on experience implementing UTM structures, taxonomies, naming conventions, and tracking frameworks to maintain high-quality datasets.
- Highly analytical, comfortable working with complex datasets, and skilled at translating insights into clear executive narratives and recommendations.
- Broad range of experience and understanding in a variety of digital marketing skills including content marketing, social media, user experience and conversion rate optimization.
- A passion for all elements of digital interactions and the ability to assess and recommend new approaches to reaching our target audiences.
- An interest in tech and a passion for learning about Neo4j and our products in order to understand the customer and create high converting campaigns.
- Experience collaborating across internal teams and managing external agencies.
- Experience using digital marketing as part of an ABM strategy.
Desired Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree, ideally in Marketing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to translate complex subjects into appropriate presentations at all levels of the business.
- Creative, organized and process-oriented.
- Comfortable working in cross functional teams and developing strong relationships across departments.
- A broad strategic thinker who considers the whole journey as well as the immediate KPIs.
The annual base salary range for this position based in the United States is listed below. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on Neo4j’s compensation practices, job related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and trainings, in addition to geographic location. Based on the factors above, Neo4j utilizes the full width of the range.
In addition to the range below, US employees are eligible for a stock option grant and certain roles are eligible for an annual bonus. Employees in this position are also eligible to participate in the Company’s standard benefit programs, which currently include the following: medical, dental, and vision benefits, 401(k), paid time off, and certain leaves of absence.
