  • Remote, United States
  • Eastern or Central US time zones strongly preferred. This is a global role requiring collaboration across North America, EMEA, and APAC.

Role Summary

Reporting directly to the SVP of Partnerships, the Principal Technical Partner Manager serves as the senior technical leader within the Partnerships organization and acts as the primary bridge between strategic partners, Product Management, Engineering, and Go-to-Market teams.

This individual is responsible for driving technical partner readiness, partner enablement, technical advisory, ecosystem engagement, and partner feedback governance across a global partner ecosystem.

The role serves as the primary technical point of contact for strategic partners and is responsible for ensuring partner requirements, technical feedback, market insights, and ecosystem opportunities are effectively captured, triaged, documented, prioritized, and communicated across the organization.

The role is both strategic and hands-on, supporting partner recruitment, technical evaluations, onboarding, readiness, demonstrations, workshops, proof-of-concepts, and technical go-to-market activities.

The Principal Technical Partner Manager acts as a technical evangelist for the company’s AI platform, ecosystem strategy, and partner capabilities while helping scale the technical partnerships function and mentoring Technical Partner Managers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the senior technical advisor and primary technical point of contact for strategic partners.
  • Work closely with Partnership Leads to support partner recruitment, onboarding, technical evaluations, and strategic initiatives.
  • Lead the partner technical readiness program and help shape onboarding and enablement frameworks.
  • Deliver technical training, demonstrations, workshops, and readiness sessions.
  • Support proof-of-concepts, pilots, evaluations, and technical validation activities.
  • Review and contribute to solution books, technical playbooks, reference architectures, and partner-facing assets.
  • Gather, document, triage, prioritize, and communicate partner requirements and technical feedback.
  • Establish and maintain processes and toolsets for logging, routing, tracking, and reporting partner technical requests.
  • Partner closely with Product Management and Engineering to influence roadmap discussions and ecosystem priorities.
  • Support strategic go-to-market initiatives and ecosystem expansion efforts.
  • Directly manage and mentor Technical Partner Manager(s).
  • Help define best practices, operating models, and scalable technical partnership processes.

Required Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in technical partnerships, partner engineering, solutions architecture, technical alliances, partner enablement, or related ecosystem-focused roles.
  • Experience managing direct reports and leading technical teams.
  • Experience building technical readiness programs, onboarding models, enablement frameworks, and partner operating processes.
  • Experience collaborating closely with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and executive leadership teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive execution.

Technical Expertise

  • Artificial Intelligence (AI), Large Language Models (LLMs), Agentic AI, APIs and Platform Integrations, Cloud Infrastructure, Enterprise SaaS Platforms, Ecosystem and Platform Partnerships

Microsoft & Ecosystem Experience

  • Experience working within the Microsoft ecosystem or alongside Microsoft-centric partnerships is strongly preferred and will be a significant factor in candidate evaluation.
  • The ideal candidate has experience building and supporting strategic technology partnerships, working with hyperscalers and cloud ecosystems, supporting partner enablement and technical readiness, and collaborating with partner technical teams, solution architects, product organizations, and alliance stakeholders.
  • Experience working with Microsoft, Microsoft ecosystem partners, AI platform providers, cloud vendors, or enterprise software companies is highly valued.

Ideal Candidate

  • Highly technical and AI-fluent.
  • Deeply familiar with Microsoft and the broader ecosystem landscape.
  • Comfortable discussing LLMs, Agentic AI, APIs, integrations, and cloud technologies.
  • Hands-on and willing to engage directly with partners.
  • Strong in demonstrations, workshops, technical storytelling, and partner enablement.
  • Process-oriented and highly organized.
  • Exceptional at documentation and creating scalable frameworks.
  • Experienced in people leadership and team development.
  • Comfortable operating at both strategic and execution levels.
  • Able to translate partner feedback into actionable product and engineering outcomes.
