What you will do

As our AP/AR Coordinator, you will join our Finance team in our Ghent office. This is a fantastic opportunity to manage both accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all transactions. You will play a crucial role in our day-to-day financial operations, support the Accountant with their tasks, and assist the team during monthly closings.

Where you will have impact

  • Prepare and process payments, ensuring they are set up correctly in our banking systems.
  • Collect and manage all documentation related to purchases, ensuring it is correctly filed in our accounting system.
  • Perform initial validation and checks on company expenses within our expense management tool, Spendesk.
  • Process incoming payments and transactions accurately within our accounting system.
  • Assist the accounting team with processing purchase bills and support critical monthly closing procedures.
  • Handle inquiries related to payments, investigating and resolving any issues that arise.
  • Ensure all transactions are correctly booked to the right account and cost center.

Who you are

Essential

  • A degree in Accounting or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy and punctuality in your work.
  • Proven ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines, especially during monthly closings.
  • A strong team player with a collaborative, helpful, and humble attitude.
  • Highly structured and organized in your approach to tasks and responsibilities.
  • A quick learner, eager to develop new skills and grow within the finance field.
  • You are fluent in English, both written and spoken.

We welcome

  • Previous experience in an AP/AR or accounting role, for instance through an internship.
  • A clear ambition to grow your career and evolve into an Accountant role with us.
  • Fluency in Dutch or another language used within our company is a plus.
