Summary of Position:

We are seeking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Director, Business Development to lead our strategic initiatives and drive growth opportunities within Innovivia Specialty Therapeutics (IST). Reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for leading, identifying, evaluating and executing business opportunities that align with our company’s strategy and objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to define and develop IST’s key growth areas to align with the corporate strategy.
  • Lead the business development initiatives in identifying and evaluating new business opportunities, partnerships, and collaborations that enhance the company's portfolio and market position both in the US and globally.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to expand the company's product pipeline through licensing agreements, acquisitions, and partnerships.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments to identify potential opportunities and risks.

  • Provide strategic input and market insights to senior management based on thorough market analysis and competitive intelligence.
  • Construct and leverage comprehensive financial models to aid in the analysis of business development transactions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, regulatory affairs, legal, finance, and marketing teams to ensure alignment and successful execution of business development strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with alliance management to optimize partnerships, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.

Experience & Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, advanced degree (MBA, PhD) preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry with at least 5 years of experience in business development.
  • Experience in either Management Consulting or Investment Banking, demonstrable through the ability to build and own complex financial models.
  • Experience in business development within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully negotiating and closing complex deals, including licensing agreements, partnerships, and acquisitions.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
