Role Purpose:

We’re looking for a curious and capable Platform Engineer to help build and support the infrastructure behind our Mystra platform. Working within the Platform team, you’ll contribute to developing scalable cloud infrastructure, robust CI/CD pipelines, and reliable observability systems. This is a hands-on technical role with plenty of learning opportunities and mentoring from senior engineers.

You'll play a key part in keeping our systems reliable and secure while helping the wider engineering and scientific teams deliver impactful genomic solutions.

A Day in the Life:

• Write infrastructure-as-code to build and maintain our cloud environments

• Support and troubleshoot production issues across a variety of systems and architectures

• Collaborate with software engineers, scientists, and product teams to build fit-for-purpose technical solutions

• Automate operational tasks to improve efficiency and system reliability

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our observability and monitoring tools

Who You Are:

You’ll thrive in this role if you have:

• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills

• A solid understanding of Linux systems

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation)

• Familiarity with observability tools (e.g. Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog)

• Experience working with SQL and relational databases

Your background likely includes:

• A degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

• Proficiency in at least one programming language

• Experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, Azure)

• You’re building a strong understanding of Genomics’ technical stack and tools
