The Medical Communications Manager Role

The Medical Communications Manager will be responsible for developing medical education and scientific materials to effectively communicate our science and products to diverse external stakeholders. The Manager will report to the US Associate Medical Director and also support other Medical Affairs activities, including advisory boards and conference planning. This position is fully remote for any US-based employees, ideally located in the East Coast.

What you will need:-

  • A minimum of a Master’s degree in Life Sciences required, with a PhD/PharmD preferred.

  • Related work experience (pharmaceutical, medical device, or CRO) within a Medical/Scientific Affairs function required.

  • Proficiency with medical educational material development and scientific slide deck creation required. Experience in developing scientific illustrations, infographics, or other innovative tools preferred.

  • Experience with advisory board planning and key opinion leader management preferred.

  • Project management skills and ability to prioritize multiple projects and timelines required.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop medical materials, including slide decks, infographics, scientific illustrations, etc, to translate complex genetic and product data into clear and compelling messages for different target audiences.

  • Develop external medical education programs and content for diverse healthcare providers, including slide decks, training modules, on-demand videos, and infographics.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including commercial, science, and product, to develop and review medical content for external stakeholder presentations.

  • Support the planning and execution of advisory board meetings and medical/scientific conferences, including developing medical content, coordinating logistics, and managing relationships with key opinion leaders.

  • Manage external vendors and agencies as needed.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and guidelines.

  • Support additional projects or initiatives within the Medical Affairs Function
