As part of a centralized internal data insight team, you will help prevent duplicated efforts across the organization and instead build scalable foundations that power multiple initiatives. Your work will directly support RevOps in generating more leads, improving customer retention, tailoring sales outreach, and enhancing onboarding with the opportunity to expand impact across legal and other functions over time

About The Role & Team

We’re hiring a Full-Stack AI Engineer to join our internal data insight team, reporting directly to the Director of Data & AI, Armin Catovic.

This is a mid-level role (ideally 2–3 years of experience) designed for an engineer whose “bread and butter” is working with AI agents and data - not a traditional data scientist, and not just a backend developer - but someone who builds modern AI solutions end-to-end.

You’ll join a highly collaborative, "malleable” team composed of commercially minded and statistically strong profiles who’ve grown into engineering roles. Now, we’re strengthening the team with engineers trained from the ground up.

The team operates as a centralized, high-powered internal data unit that:

• Develops and maintains the internal data stack

• Develops a semantic and agentic AI layer that exposes the data and insights outwards for consumption by teams within Funnel (GTM, commercial, support etc)

• Builds reusable services and plugins

• Ensures scalable architecture instead of fragmented initiatives

Skills & Experiences We’re Looking For

Experience working with LLMs and agentic patterns

• Hands-on experience using Large Language Models in real applications

• Hands-on experience with AI agents and frameworks (Claude Code, Codex, Strands)

• Understanding of how to integrate AI into data workflows (e.g. agentic RAG systems, chatbots, event-driven agents)

• Understanding of modern agentic patterns - MCP, skills, harness engineering, progressive disclosure, wiggum loops, etc

Strong backend engineering fundamentals (Python)

• Production-level experience building backend services

• Comfort structuring systems and writing clean, maintainable code

• Ability to deploy and manage services

SQL & data querying expertise

• Deep comfort querying and manipulating data

• Experience working with structured datasets and building tables/models

• Ability to interrogate complex systems with a logical mindset

Nice-to-have

• Experience building machine learning models

• Cloud infrastructure experience (especially AWS)

• Infrastructure-as-code experience (e.g., Terraform)

What You Will Do

This is not a maintenance role. You’ll be building foundational capabilities.

• Expand and strengthen our existing Amazon-based data and AI stack (built on top of Athena and Bedrock)

• Integrate and plug in new internal and external data sources

• Build applications and services (batch and event-driven) on top of enriched datasets

• Create intelligent, proactive signals from the data layer that trigger actions across the organization

We are moving toward an architecture where activity is constantly scanned for meaningful signals that automatically trigger actions.

You will help design and implement:

• Event-based jobs

• Signal detection pipelines

• AI-powered enrichment services

• Automated outbound insights

Location & Eligibility

At this time, we can only consider applicants who are already based in Stockholm and meet one of the following criteria:

• Hold Swedish citizenship

• Hold EU/EEA citizenship and are currently living in Stockholm

• Have a valid Swedish work permit

Office-first

At Funnel, we have an office-first approach, and we work from the office a minimum of four days a week. We have lots of flexibility for when life happens, during the summer, through the holidays. We just like to avoid having standing remote days.
