The Role
As a new member of our Data & AI team, you’ll play a key role in shaping how we use AI to make Funnel’s teams and internal processes smarter, faster, and more scalable.
You’ll design and implement intelligent solutions that improve operational efficiency. Everything from automating workflows and monitoring data quality to supporting internal decision-making with predictive insights. This isn’t an AI-only role - we’re looking for someone who’s passionate about solving problems, whatever the best approach may be. AI will often be your go-to tool, but not always the right one, and you’ll know when to choose something simpler or smarter.
This is a hands-on engineering role where you’ll have a visible impact on how we run and scale our business. You’ll collaborate closely with teams across Data, Sales, Finance, and Engineering to ensure we build AI tools that make a measurable difference.
What You’ll Do
Design, develop, and deploy AI-driven tools and automations that optimize internal workflows and operations.
Build, test, and maintain reliable systems that streamline repetitive tasks, improve data handling, and empower internal teams.
Apply large language models (LLMs) and agentic approaches when they offer the most effective solution and know when traditional automation is the better fit.
Implement evaluation, to assess the performance of these systems and measure their business impact.
Partner with teams across the company to understand pain points and translate them into practical, AI-powered solutions.
Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to detect anomalies, forecast workloads, and ensure data accuracy.
Continuously explore AI technologies and evaluate them for Funnel’s internal systems, operations, and support processes.
What We’re Looking For
Strong background in data or software engineering. You have solid experience building real systems, not just prototypes, and understand how to deliver production-grade solutions that are maintainable, performant, and secure.
Ability to deliver end-to-end solutions - from prototype to deployment
Proficient in Typescript and Python. You’re comfortable moving across the stack, from front-end interfaces to backend services.
Familiar with cloud infrastructure and modern engineering practices. You know your way around AWS (or similar), CI/CD pipelines, version control, testing, and code review workflows.
Practical experience integrating LLM APIs and knowing when not to; familiarity with retrieval/search (BM25/filters) and RAG when justified
Curiosity to dive into challenges, adaptability, and drive to explore emerging AI capabilities
Nice-to-Have:
Experience with automation tools such as (n8n, Zapier, Make)
Experience working with HubSpot via API and custom CRM cards via Javascript and React

This role is based in our Stockholm office. At Funnel, we embrace an office-first approach, working on-site at least four days a week. While we offer plenty of flexibility for life’s events, summer months, and holidays, we aim to avoid fixed remote workdays.
