About the Role:
We are looking for a Staff Accountant who will be responsible for supporting the monthly close process, with a focus on Revenue and AR accounts. The ideal candidate will be analytical with a strong attention to detail.

What you would be doing at Expressable (essential functions)
- Perform daily and monthly reconciliations of cash receipts to claims software
- Conduct monthly close processes for Revenue, Accounts Receivable, and other financial accounts as instructed (e.g., AP, Payroll)
- Prepare all journal entries related to revenue and accounts receivable as part of the monthly close process
- Analyze revenue, AR and other financial trends on a regular basis, including creating AR aging schedules and reconciliations
- Collaborate with billing team and third-party RCM vendor to ensure accuracy of claims data used in financial reporting including revenue estimates, AR balances, and write-offs
- Maintain database of contracted payer rates
- Maintain accurate financial records
- Compile, analyze, and report financial data
- Comply with all company, local, state, and federal accounting and financial regulations
- Perform audits and resolve discrepancies
What you bring to Expressable
- Demonstrated experience analyzing large data sets
- Proficiency with performing monthly close process
- Bachelor's Degree in accounting or related field preferred
- Knowledge of healthcare insurance claims processes and data and QuickBooks online preferred
