As the Vice President, Strategic Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing Equip’s clinical & care delivery operations. Reporting directly to the Co-Founder/Chief Clinical Officer, and working closely with company leadership, you will manage the full Clinical P&L while collaborating with cross-functional teams including Product, Finance, and Technology, to drive execution and improvement of care delivery and clinical operations to ensure achievement of business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership and Development:
  • -Provide leadership and support to the operational teams, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
    -Employ a strong management and growth mindset across all decisions and goal setting
    -Mentor and develop key talent within the organization, promoting professional growth and building a strong leadership pipeline.
    -Develop data acumen of direct reports, ensuring the right data is being tracked in an efficient manner and used in decision making across the clinical organization
  • Financial Management:
  • -Collaborate with executive leaders for the development of the Clinical P&L strategy and own management of that strategy throughout the Clinical organization.
    -Collaborate consistently with the finance team to develop and manage budgets and forecasting
    -Own and oversee Clinical P&L and make data-driven decisions to support business sustainability and growth.
    -Maintain supply/demand and staffing model for all roles under the Clinical Org including providers and support staff. Staffing model should ensure that the company always has enough staff to meet demand while balancing profitability.
    -Keep a pulse on the market and adapt model according to changing conditions
  • Operational Excellence:
  • -Streamline and optimize internal processes and workflows, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness across all aspects of clinical care from admissions through discharge.
    -Identify and act on processes that need to change in order to scale.
    -Implement performance metrics and KPIs to assess and continuously improve the clinical efficiency and clinician experience.
    -Drive a culture of continuous improvement and innovation to enhance productivity and achieve operational excellence.
    -Analyze operational data to uncover inefficiencies and lead the execution of process changes
    -Identify and execute on opportunities for improvement, restructuring, innovation, and growth, ensuring operational excellence while maintaining clinical outcomes as a top priority

Requirements:

  • Proven experience (10+ years) in strategic operations, clinical operations, healthcare consulting, or management roles within the health technology or healthcare industry
  • Fluent in unit economics and P&L management; specifically within a clinical or service delivery organization
  • Track record of successfully leading and scaling large, multi-function teams and executing strategic initiatives to drive business growth and operational excellence
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make strategic decisions.
  • Data savvy with strong proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, SQL fluency a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in healthcare and/or mental health
