Job Description

A bit about this role:

The Clinical Education Trainer represents an amazing opportunity for an ambitious leader ready to take on a role in training and developing colleagues and improving the effectiveness of the team. As a trainer for the Longitudinal Program in Devoted Medical, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving our onboarding and continuing education curriculum. You will also serve as one of the leaders to shape the team’s growth including orientation timelines, workflow development, implementation of educational updates and working with leadership to mentor staff needing development.

The roles being trained are critical in building trusting patient relationships and empowering patients to live healthy, dignified, independent lives. The team that you will be training has multiple primary responsibilities including: in-home visits to see patients, front-line patient advocacy & community resource connection, care navigation/coordination, and wellness & life skills coaching.

This position will collaborate with the Longitudinal leadership team and the Clinical Education team to develop a deep understanding of the service lines and their educational and training needs. As a program trainer, you will create a technological environment for learning delivery and manage content for learner digestion to promote an organized positive learning climate so that learners are engaged and motivated to seek clarity, enhance their abilities, perform new tasks and apply knowledge.

Required skills and experience:

  • 2+ years in a clinical training and/or training program management role

  • Utilization of content development and audio/video editing tools within the last 2 years

  • Experience designing, delivering and assessing learning and training programs within the last 2 years

  • Experience working in an interdisciplinary team

Desired skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education or Technology (or related field)

  • Experience with working in several different technology platforms and a quick learner to understand new systems

  • Experience with project management preferred

Your Responsibilities and Impact will include:

  • Build and maintain team curriculum: create new training content, edit existing content, deliver that content, and develop evaluation instruments to gauge effectiveness of the training program

  • Design and implement the onboarding process for new employees, including organizing, scheduling, training, shadowing, reverse shadowing, providing support, and ramping into full productivity. This will involve close collaboration with preceptors, supervisors, and other program leaders.

  • Work closely with other trainers to organize, implement, and evaluate onboarding and in integrating Interdisciplinary Team Care into training

  • Work closely with leadership to collaborate on performance enhancement strategies as well as creation of continuing education as needed

  • Travel to markets for in-person shadowing and training of in-home staff

  • Collaborate cross-functionally among care team roles and Devoted Medical Group functions to design cohesive, user-friendly workflows and training

  • Organize, train, and coach preceptors as well as collaborate regularly to evaluate the success of onboarding program/process

  • Collaborate closely with supervisors to ensure successful onboarding of the team, seamless training of new workflows, and ensuring successful team member/patient interactions including providing clear performance summaries of new hires to enable performance management

  • Develop systematic organization of learning management system (LMS) materials for distribution and maintain schedules of review to ensure knowledge and training resources are current and accurate

  • Develop content for learning consumption through instructional design processes

Salary Range: $54,000 - $77,000 / year

Our ranges are purposefully broad to allow for growth within the role over time. Once the interview process begins, your talent partner will provide additional information on the compensation for the role, along with additional information on our total rewards package. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
