Overview:
The Key Account Director – Oncology (South Region) is a senior field leadership role responsible for driving HCP engagement across community oncology networks, large group practices, and affiliated health systems. This position serves as the primary strategic business partner to the Coherus Regional Business Director (RBD), shaping regional strategy through data-driven insights, targeted account planning, and cross-functional coordination in the rare nasopharyngeal cancer segment.
This role combines deep expertise in community oncology, buy-and-bill dynamics, and health system decision-making with advanced analytics to guide regional teams, optimize HCP targeting, and deliver sustainable growth. The Key Account Director plays a critical role in translating national strategy into regional execution while strengthening long-term partnerships that improve patient access and outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Community Oncology Account Leadership
- Lead regional strategic account management for community oncology practices, networks, and integrated delivery systems, with a focus on coordinated, system-wide decision-making.
- Develop and execute comprehensive account plans in collaboration with Oncology Account Managers aligned with regional objectives and community oncology care models.
- Deliver tailored, value-based solutions that address clinical pathways, practice economics, access, and operational efficiency.
Regional Partnership & Strategic Execution
- Act as the primary oncology business partner to the Regional Business Director, providing insights, recommendations, and strategic guidance to drive regional performance.
- Translate market dynamics, account intelligence, and performance data into actionable regional strategies.
- Support regional prioritization, resource deployment, and pull-through initiatives across community oncology accounts.
- Partner with RBD and field leadership to align goals, messaging, and execution across the region.
Sales, Growth & HCP Engagement
- Collaborate with Oncology Account Managers to drive growth within large, complex community oncology accounts by identifying opportunities across providers, sites of care, and treatment pathways.
- Support effective HCP targeting and engagement strategies by identifying high-value prescribers, influencers, and decision-makers using data analytic tools and available resources.
- Identify gaps in care, access challenges, and pathway opportunities using market and claims-based insights
- Act as the regional sales analytics and insight Champion, elevating the team to better targeting, reach and frequency.
Data-Driven Insights & Analytics
- Capture, analyze, and synthesize CRM, market, and performance data to generate insights that guide regional teams.
- Use analytics to inform account strategy, HCP segmentation, and engagement models within community oncology.
- Provide clear, actionable recommendations that enhance forecasting, opportunity assessment, and execution.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with sales leadership, marketing, medical affairs, market access, analytics, and operations teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Ensure alignment across field teams and timely resolution of customer needs.
- Provide structured feedback to internal stakeholders to shape community oncology strategy and future offerings.
Compliance & Reporting
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of account plans, activities, and outcomes in CRM systems.
- Ensure compliance with all industry regulations, company policies, and ethical standards.
- Deliver regular performance updates, forecasts, and competitive insights to regional and national leadership.
Qualifications:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, or related field required
- MBA, PharmD, or advanced degree preferred
Experience
- 10+ years of pharmaceutical or healthcare sales experience, including community oncology and buy-and-bill environments
- Minimum of 5 years managing large, complex oncology accounts
- Demonstrated success driving growth in community oncology practices and networks
- Strong understanding of oncology treatment pathways, reimbursement, and practice economics
Skills & Competencies
- Advanced expertise in key account management and strategic planning
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills with experience guiding regional execution
- Proven ability to partner with senior field leadership and influence regional strategy

The Base Salary Range for this position is $190,000 to $240,000. Coherus considers various factors, including professional background and work experience, when determining base pay. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary.
