Chief of Staff to the CEO
Castle
People & HR, Operations
Brooklyn, NY, USA
Posted on Aug 19, 2025
Location: On-site 3–4 days/week in Brooklyn, NY
Compensation: Competitive base + equity
Overview
The nature of online abuse has fundamentally changed. AI-driven agents are creating a “hair on fire” problem for our customers, and we’re building the foundational layer for the new reality of online trust. To win, we need a disciplined operating system that keeps the entire company aligned and moving fast.
We are seeking a Chief of Staff to the CEO who will combine strategic leverage with operational execution. You’ll be both a force multiplier for the CEO and the architect of the company’s internal rhythm—how we set priorities, make decisions, and deliver results.
This is also a clear path to leading all of Castle’s operations. You will take ownership of core business functions from day one, and as you build the systems, team, and infrastructure, you’ll grow into the role of Head of Operations.
Your first year at Castle
Days 1–90: Run core operations directly—finance coordination, people ops, hiring logistics, meeting prep—while mapping current processes, identifying inefficiencies, and establishing clear ownership for recurring work.
Days 91–180: Build systems and support structures that allow the CEO and leadership team to focus on the highest-leverage work. You’ll streamline workflows, implement tools, and bring in additional support (EA, ops coordinator, or vendors) where needed.
Day 181+: Take on full operational leadership—overseeing finance, legal, HR, and internal systems—while spending more time driving strategic priorities such as planning cycles, investor updates, board prep, and operational reviews.
What you’ll do
Send your resume and a short note explaining a time you improved both the speed and the quality of decision-making in a team to lisa@castle.io
