Director, Clinical Client Services
Location: Remote (For Non-Local) with client and sales travel
Position Summary:
As Director of Clinical Client Services at Capital Rx, the expectation is to provide superior management to our clinical account managers and clients alike. The role entails team management within our PBM business, including health systems, labor/union, public and employer groups. Clinical expertise, trend and relationship management and leadership skills are key for success.
Position Responsibilities:
- Provide oversight of clinical account management team as direct supervisor with a focus on member and client satisfaction, trend management, and client retention
- Partner with account team members to provide best-in-class member and client service for complex clients
- Identify and lead resolution efforts of client and member issues as it impacts multiple clients across market segment
- Identify and lead process improvement efforts
- Analyze and interpret pharmacy claims data to identify clinical trends and insights for individual clients, across multiple clients, and across book of business
- Create and provide oversight of comprehensive client relationship strategy plans
- Provide input and clinical guidance for coalition or other multi-client group strategies
- Coach team on interpretation of clinical trends, relevant pharmacy data, and providing recommendations with supportive rationale for clinical management strategies
- Interpret current pharmacy and healthcare trends and provide proactive recommendations for client healthcare strategy plans across vertical
- Incorporate treatment & practice guidelines, clinical education, pharmacy pipeline, and broad market analysis into team coaching and client presentations
- Comprehend and effectively explain formulary and clinical programs to team, including member experience, book of business experience, and competitive market experience
- Coach on communication of drug information to clients and respond to plan-specific clinical inquiries
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support sales initiatives, requests for information (RFI), requests for proposal (RFP), and prospect presentations
- Drive key internal and external initiatives and general business needs/operations, be accountable for team execution and completion of projects
- Provide ongoing direction, mentoring, coaching to team and provide feedback for growth
- Responsible for adherence to the Capital Rx Code of Conduct, including reporting of non-compliance
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.S. Pharmacy) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution, with record of strong academic performance
- Relevant experience for at least seven (7) years in pharmacy - health plan, managed care, or pharmacy benefits management (PBM) experience preferred; or completion of managed care residency
- Prior account management experience of at least three (3) years preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Microsoft Excel
- Experience working with large datasets and analyzing raw data in Excel
- Ability to balance multiple complex projects simultaneously
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Flexible, highly organized, and able to shift priorities easily
- Attention to detail & commitment to delivering high quality work product
- Ability to travel and present to small and large groups
Preferred Qualifications:
- Multi-year experience of people management within the PBM space
Base Salary: $160,000 - $175,000
