About the Role
As the Commercial Sales Manager, you’ll take ownership of leading a team of quota-carrying Account Executives focused on driving new and expansion business revenue within the SMB segment. You’ll leverage your deep understanding of Canary's products and sales processes to provide hands-on coaching, facilitate skill development, and ensure your team is consistently exceeding expectations. Your strategic thinking, ability to leverage data for coaching, and passion for team success will help to enhance Canary’s sales performance and accelerate growth in key territory segments.

Responsibilities

  • Have an in-depth understanding of Canary’s products and sales motions to confidently provide coaching and mentorship to your sales team (must not be afraid to jump into sales calls)
  • Prioritize coaching to enhance revenue outcomes by assisting your team through the sales process (deal navigation, negotiation, discovery, etc)
  • Monitor sales performance: activities, pipeline generation, pipeline management, forecasts/quota attainment
  • Work closely with Sales Enablement to proactively identify and address sales training/enablement needs
  • Participate in hiring and interviewing process, as well as training and ramp-up of new team members

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in managing teams of quota carrying account executives for B2B SaaS companies
  • 3+ years of successful quota carrying selling experience, ideally in a SaaS environment to SMB and/or MM space
  • Experience in high velocity, transactional sales is desired
  • Experience within the hotel/hospitality technology space is a big plusKeen ability to leverage and interpret data for coaching and decision-making (numbers-driven)
  • Ability to travel for work-related events, as neededMust live in the DFW metroplex
