How will your role make an impact at Aera Therapeutics?

Aera Therapeutics is looking for a Research Associate II to join the Molecular Biology team. You will be responsible for cloning, mRNA production and support for cross-functional projects. You will report to the Associate Director, Molecular Biology and will be fully onsite in our Cambridge office.

You will:

• Execute experiments using standard molecular biology techniques including PCR, cloning, DNA purification
• Perform mRNA production workflows including IVT and affinity purification
• Support workstreams where Molecular Biology expertise is required
• Document processes, results and entity registration in Benchling

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology Microbiology, Biochemistry (or related field) with 2+ years’ experience or Master’s degree with 1+ years’ experience (industry preferred).
• Experience with cloning strategies, including Golden Gate and Gibson assembly.
• Experience with microbial nucleic acid transformation and growth
• Experience with Benchling
