The Data Quality team plays an integral role in this mission ensuring our customers trust the accuracy and completeness of their data.
We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join 1upHealth’s Data Quality team. Working closely with the other platform engineering teams, the Data Quality team is responsible for building out our quality and observability tooling and infrastructure, and enabling other engineers throughout the company to easily report on insights about the data captured and utilized by 1upHealth. The ideal candidate will be a curious problem solver with a keen eye towards the quality and observability of data both at rest and in motion.
You will:
- Help drive the technical vision of the Data Quality team
- Develop tools and applications that capture, enable, and report on data metrics
- Be a hands on contributor for a product that tells a compelling and complete story of the data journey
- Participate in code discussions, reviews, and refactoring
- Work closely with our content partners to define healthcare data domain quality and observability metrics
- Collaborate with members across the organization to improve our products and services
- Advocate for engineering best practices
- Mentor and coach junior team members
We are looking for people who have:
- 5+ years of data engineering experience building data pipelines and reports using modern languages (e.g., SQL, Python, Java, Scala, Typescript)
- 3+ years experience working with both relational and non-relational databases and data technologies (e.g., Postgres, MySQL, Presto/Trino, ElasticSearch, DynamoDB, Redshift, Apache Spark)
- 2+ years experience in a modern cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Previous healthcare technology experience (e.g., HL7, FHIR)
- Expert understanding of securely designing and consuming RESTful APIs
- Ability to communicate clearly with various stakeholders of technical and non-technical backgrounds
You may also have
- Container/Orchestration experience (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Hands-on experience working in a CI/CD environment
