Job Description

General Summary:

The DTE, Marketing Technology team is playing a crucial role in enabling our commercial expansion as Vertex commercializes into new disease areas and brings more transformative medicines to patients around the world.

As the Content Platform Lead, you will be responsible for the administration, optimization, and oversight of the Veeva Vault PromoMats platform and DAM, which are both critical applications in the content creation, review, approval, and distribution process.

You will translate business requirements into technical deliverables that guide day-to-day operations and implementation of new capabilities including reference architecture, functional specifications, and tech ready acceptance criteria for user stories. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to support marketing and compliance efforts, ensuring that the technology supports the business needs.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as Platform Lead for Veeva Vault Promomats and DAM applications, providing innovative oversight and direction of our content applications.

  • Lead a team of Technical SMEs through enhancements, software upgrades, implementations, and integration projects providing product expertise and quality assurance, including leading technical design sessions, conducting feature demos and testing as required.

  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain a roadmap of future capabilities, including content syndication, claims content management and modular content.

  • Manage portfolio budget and forecasting, including resourcing, platform licensing, implementation projects and MSPs, within +/-5% of targets.

  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts and service level agreements to ensure the highest quality of service and support is obtained.

  • Develop and measure KPIs against platform adoption, business needs and outcomes/impacts of technical capabilities.

  • Provide training and support to users within the organization ensuring they can effectively utilize all content applications.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experience leading teams of technical resources; both FTE and Contractor

  • Strong exposure to IT operations and deploying large scale global solutions

  • Experience producing application strategies/roadmaps for a global enterprise in their focused architecture domain.

  • Experience in creating a technical roadmap for a DAM solution

  • Experience with rationalization, consolidation, and integration across business domains

  • Experience with product evaluation, assessment and business case formulation

  • Experience developing and influencing business strategies with multi-functional team impact.

  • Experience developing and leading innovative solutions, blueprints, and standards for solution design.

  • Validated experience of leading change and challenging approaches/ideas

  • Experience working within and supporting policies, procedures, and guidelines within a secure, quality, and compliance environment.

  • Experience in developing and managing relationships with 3rd party vendors.

  • Strong networking skills with good internal/external links

  • Well-developed communication skills

  • Ability to interpret and communicate technical information into business language

Required Experience:

  • 8+ years working either in a biopharmaceutical company or a consulting organization with focus on the life sciences sector

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in all modules of the Veeva Commercial Suite of products

  • Strong experience with Veeva Vault PromoMats, CLM, Veeva Approved Email and DAM is required.

  • Experience with Veeva CRM, Salesforce and Acquia

  • Understanding of the industry landscape and global regulatory requirements (e.g., GxP, HIPAA. GDPR, etc.)

Education and Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, software engineering or other related technology degree.

  • Veeva Vault Certification Preferred
