Job Description

The Senior Manager, Revenue Accounting will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of accurate and timely financial information relating to certain product revenues, gross to net accounts and accounts receivable to meet the needs of both internal and external reporting requirements for the North America Region. The role will partner closely with members of Trade and Distribution, Market Access, Finance and Global Revenue Accounting. The Senior Manager will also be responsible for identifying and driving process improvement initiatives including automation and data analytics as well as supporting new product launches.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for revenue accounting month end close for product sales and gross to net for North America ( with an initial focus on accounting and reporting for the Canadian market)

  • Responsible for development and maintenance of complex gross to net models calculations and analytics ( including use of advanced excel skills)

  • Develop knowledge of markets to develop analytics to analyze monthly results, including monthly trends and forecast to actuals , working closely with market access and finance teams

  • Utilizing knowledge and data, provide strategic input into recommendations for change and process improvement as well as continuously evolving and evaluating policies and procedures

  • Participate (and lead as needed) in the development of new systems, processes and automation

  • Drive accounting policies and procedures for new product launches

  • Ability to review and oversee work of team members as needed

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Typically requires +7 years of related accounting experience with experience in life sciences and/ or Big 4 Accounting Firm preferred

  • Advanced excel skills

  • Experience with Oracle Financial Software a plus


  • Ability to collaborate and influence across and within different levels of the organization

  • Strong written and oral communication skills ; ability to present complex analyses

  • Ability to identify and drive process improvements

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment ; ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Demonstrate continuous improvement mindset and ability to increase responsibilities over time
