OTA Insight is a leading business & market intelligence SaaS provider in the travel industry with a focus on hotels & short term rentals. Our customers include the full spectrum of different types of hotels, from independently owned to ownership groups to management companies to major chains like Marriott, Hilton, Accor, IHG, etc. apart from a broad spectrum of short term rental providers and destination management organizations.

Today, OTA Insight is present in more than 185+ countries and serves more than 60,000 hotels. Additionally we have acquired leading businesses like Transparent Intelligence, KriyaRevGen and
Triometric Solutions making us a leading source of truth for data & insights in travel. As a snapshot, on a daily basis, our data & platform assets along with our stellar global talent help monitor 1B+ prices, process 100TB+ of raw data, and profile 23M+ hotels & short-term rental listings. All of these efforts have one singular purpose: empower our customers to make smarter & more effective revenue, marketing & distribution decisions.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head, Data, Insights & Systems to join our team. This is a pivotal leadership role that sits at the core of our organization's operating rhythm, responsible for overseeing performance data and systems on a global scale. As a member of the cross-functional management team, you will play a critical role in shaping the company's strategy by providing actionable insights derived from data and ensuring the effectiveness of our operational systems. This is a newly created position that offers an exciting opportunity to drive change and innovation in a high-growth environment.

The preferred location for this role is Ghent, Belgium or Madrid, Spain. However, we are open to having this role based in our offices in London, Denver or Dallas.

Responsibilities:
Strategic Oversight: Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for managing the company's performance data and systems on a global scale, aligning them with our business objectives and growth plans.
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of analytics engineers, business analysts, and commercial system engineers & specialists, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and excellence.
Data Governance: Establish and enforce data governance standards to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of our performance data.
Systems Optimization: Identify opportunities to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our operational systems, making recommendations for improvements and leading the implementation of changes.
Performance Analytics: Drive the development and maintenance of advanced analytics and reporting capabilities to provide actionable insights that guide decision-making across the organization.
Global Integration: Collaborate with regional teams to ensure consistency and alignment in data management and system usage across all markets.
Vendor Management: In partnership with the procurement team, manage relationships with third-party vendors and technology partners, ensuring the selection and integration of systems that meet the company's evolving needs.
Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying best practices to optimize our data management and operational systems continually.
Data-Driven Organizational Culture: Lead the effort to build a best-in-class data-guided organization by promoting a culture of data excellence. Develop and implement training programs, workshops, and initiatives to enhance data literacy across the company. Encourage data-driven decision-making at all levels, empowering team members to use data and analytics to inform their daily activities. Additionally, establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for measuring the success of data-driven initiatives and ensure their integration into performance management systems.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a bridge between the technical and functional teams to foster collaboration and alignment. Understand the technical capabilities of the data and systems while comprehending the needs of the functional teams and market objectives. This involves translating technical concepts and data insights into business language and vice versa, ensuring that the data-driven insights align with the company's strategic objectives..
Thought Partner to the Leadership team: Be an essential stakeholder to the Chief Technology Officer, Chief Information Security officer, Chief Revenue Officer & Chief Operating Officer.

Skills & Experience:
➔ Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field (e.g., Data Science, Information Technology, Business Administration).
➔ Proven experience in a senior leadership role overseeing data and systems in a global context within the SaaS industry.
➔ Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
➔ Expertise in data governance, data management, and data quality assurance.
➔ Proficiency in system optimization, process improvement, and change management.
➔ Advanced knowledge of data analytics, data visualization, and business intelligence tools.
➔ Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
➔ Demonstrated ability to translate data insights into actionable business strategies.
➔ Experience with commercial systems commonly used by revenue, operations, product, marketing & finance teams
➔ Proven project management skills with a focus on delivering results on time and within budget.

Preferred Skills & Experience:
➔ Industry certifications in data management, analytics, or project management.
➔ Experience working in a startup or scaleup environment.
➔ Familiarity with cloud-based data storage and analytics platforms.
➔ Understanding of international data privacy regulations
➔ Experience in mergers and acquisitions related to data and systems integration.
➔ Knowledge of SaaS metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
➔ Multilingual proficiency for effective global communication.
➔ Willingness to roll up their sleeves and get stuff done
